Snow snow snow

%#$# snow!!!!! I went to have the house I'b buying inspected. As I turn the block this idiot flying down the street slides so I had to turn into a snow bank to avoid him hitting me. Ok I'm thinking no dents- no accident. As I slowly pull back my bumper rips right off. I am pissed off. Now I had tie it back on with string until I get it fixed. The tabs on the bumper are all ripped can I get the tabs replaced or I have to get a whole new bumper?

Re: Snow snow snow

Where in the Tri-State area did this happen ? That's why I'm not taking the car out until after the rain we're supposed to be having tomorrow washes all the crap away. I'm seriously thinking of buying an old Civic or Accord (keeping it in the Honda family) to use as a beater car and for parking in neighborhoods of questionable repute.

Those corner tabs can be replaced. I think that Augusta sells them for like $9+ or something like that.

Cool LegendGS... and Glen this happened in East Orange but all of Essex county and the surrounding counties are just as bad or worse. Right now they are doing "Emergency snow removal" which isn't helping. So if your coming to Jersey to visit someone or something WAIT a week or so or you'll regret it...

yeah it happened from the bottom up.. when I came down off of the bank i heard the crunching of snow BUT not the crunching of my bumper and by the time the realter told me about the bumper i had already backed off and proceeded to move forward while the bumper was already hanging off (attached just by the turn signal wires) the car and stuck underneth the bottom of the car. OOOUUUCCHHHH!!!!!!

The way that you're describing it, it sounds like it was ripped off completely. Is that right?

If so, you may have more trouble than the corner tabs. That corner tabs just "hang" the bumper, but it's held on by those 4 large bolts. If that broke, err... I think that you may be in for a new bumper.

Yes, you will unless you have the pieces that broke off and some JB Weld!! But, this will prove to be less sturdy than a bumper with intact screw points!! Check www.car-part.com for a bumper!! Good Luck man...and look for 94-95 !!

damn i hear so many stories about bumpers being ripped of i dont understand even in less extreme situations like from one of thouse parking cement blocks. i dont see how this happenes, that **** is connected with four big ass bolts and plus the bottom lip of the bumper is attached to the body of the car with like 5 decently sized screw bolts.
