I didnt even bother with trying to locate it...I just bought a new one and paid to have it done.
Part was about $80 from Acura Of Agusta (800-815-5158) and labor was about $65.

Well worth the money.

I believe I read one post where someone cleaned the unit and its function returned. Best to buy a new "gut" which will cost approx. $80 from Acura of Augusta. The repair can be a DIY, but you will need to get under the vehicle and buy a tamper-proof T-20 torx bit. The easiest method is to remove the entire unit (allowing sm amt of diff oil to seep) as sometimes the phillips screw at the top is difficult to remove. With the unit out of the vehicle, the repair takes less than 5 min.

Yes..... I had no idea what I was doing and it took me about 15 minutes once the vehicle was in the air. Very easy repair.... I remember the screws being a pain to get off though.....

The D4 blinking is a code to say that the VSS sensor is out. I dont know about resetting the ABS because the same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago, I was doing some very hard braking tests. About the VSS, I had it done 2 years ago not knowing anything about it back then. Got taken for just over 3 bills to get it fixed

RPM is not working? That shouldn't be related to VSS...?

The VSS stands for Vehicle Speed Sensor.

Acura Of Agusta had the best price I could find when I replaced mine.

This will fix your speedo, engine light, and D4 Blinking problems...not sure on the tach issue...that was never a problem for me when my VSS was bad. Speedometer sure was on crack though!

well you should always check your Blinking code with a manual, i think 17 is the code for the VSS, i just replaced mine and it is very easy to change, you will either just need to sensor itself, (about $60) or you will need the sensor housing that connects to the transaxle. (about $75 w/sensor) id just replace the whole thing if i were you... if you have any questions just ask, it really is about a 15 minute job......

As for your tach, that is another problem, i drove around for about 4 months with no Speedo and the tach worked perfectly.....

A failing VSS will also cause erratic tach function. My symptom happened when cruise was engaged. For no apparent reason the cruise cut-out, and both the RPMs and Speedometer reading suddenly decreased. No blinking D4. Replaced VSS and symptom has never again occurred.

If you have a blinking D4 a code has been set. Retrieve the code.
