To those with dual exhaust

Wassup guys, I just want to hear replies from the guys/girls that have dual exhaust. What type of exhausts do you have? What kind of pipping did you guys do? From the headers on, after the cat, no cat.. whatever. How is the sound? Any gains, losses, eating more gas? Just tell me anything... I plan to do this to my car with in two months and I just want to be prepared. Thanks,
J

I want to know as well! I got a guy who said I can get it set up for dual mufflers for only $50 hung and everything. This is just a basic Y, but still!

Im thinking maybe Flowmaster duals...

I payed 125 to do just the piping and it definitely ate more gas. (to me it does) But that's the price you pay for performance.

since you cant get headers for a Legend, the "dual exhaust" is a big expense to have just for appearance. You wont inprove performance to any great extent.

A cat back system is mostly noice and apearance too.

Some will say otherwise, but these mods have little performance benefits, and will likely make your care slower when driving under 4000 rpm.

After upgrading to a dual exhuast system, the roar has been lower. The high roar from the muffler is gone, and the low drone is the same, but it has carried over to both sides. There is no major improvement of performance with dual exhaust (except for high end). Just like stu said, it's mainly for looks. The main reason why I dualed my exhaust was to match the rear of the cyber kit. The low end basically sucks, but I've noticed a small difference on the high end (with good gas).

This is a quote from Jim Trinh's site:

"Larger diameter pipes and a straight-through muffler can free up exhaust flow by as much as 120%, increasing your Legend's power by up to 8 horsepower." As for me, I have the straight-through muffler setup. I guess I love it...bah, I KNOW I LOVE IT! Just do it! But don't get a large catalytic convertor.

I have 2.5" pipe from the cat back, Magnaflow SS straight thru muffler, and I was wondering if a Y after the cat, adding another muffler (same Magnaflow) would help quiet it down. It's not terribly loud or anything, just want advice from those that have duals already. How much did it quiet down with the addition of another muffler? Does the tone change? I know it will be different, I just want to know if it's worth it. Thanks, Kasteman.

Transplanted from original thread I started....
Not to sound like an a-hole or anything, but could I get replies that are on-topic? My original thread started some sort of political turmoil.
