Tires...tires...tires
Ok I'm going to be needing new tires soon, and I would like to try something different now.
Currently I have P7000's 225/18/40 I live in Cali so theres no snow to worry about and pot holes aren't an issue here. In No. Cali we do get our share of rain not crazy rain but a sufficiant amount. I'm not looking for a cheapy tire nor am I looking to break the bank either. I'm not to big on the Kumho's don't particularly care the the Hairringbone tread of those if I can explain it that way. I do like a nice tread though that is one thing I look at, that and tread life. Any suggestions.....

Falken has a new tire out, treadwear of get this.... 360!!!
Most 18" and 19" treadwear is around 220 - 300 if you are lucky. And they are W rated. Azenis is the name I beleive, and the tread pattern is pretty sweet. Want a good deal? Call Anthony at Wheels Direct, 770.474.6661. Tell him Leon from legendary legendz sent cha.

Ok I'm down to Two main wheels that I like
Nitto 555's -300 tread Toyo T1-s - 280 tread which ones hmmm.... I like the tread of the Toyos better but I like the side wall of the Nitto's with that nice rim protector (for the wife) I need to hurry and make a choice because these P7000's are really getting on my nurves. I don't think I'll be getting any more of these tires ever. They wear pretty fast and boy are they loud and getting louder I have to turn up the radio even louder to drown out the noise. Who the best people to buy either of these from. I didn't see them on tire-rack or discount tires. So I don't even know the price of these. A little help please just a little....

I can attest that the Nitto 555's are great... I can also promise that you'll really like the Potenza's... I used to run RE910 Potenza's on my old Legend... they were wonderful, but I'd go with the RE730's... BMW M3 Standard issue (at least they were...), and they're great all-around high performance tires... but I'm still partial to Nitto.

paradas feel like your driving in the dry when its poring outside and have very very little road noise. I had Toyos and put these on and would never think of going back. One of the best tires in the wet i think. Oh yeah they look badass to. Good price also

I have been on a set of Bridgestone Potena RE910 for some time and am very pleased with them. It is not a high performance tire (sidewalls are somewhat soft) but the grip is great and the ride is awesome! Treadlife is quite good too. Very comfortable tire unless you push your Legend to limit.
The Parad Spec II is a great tire too. I have a set on my CRX and love it on that car. Not quite sure how it would feel on the legend though. Treadlife is significantly shorter! Good luck! |
