Wouldn't there be a little switch/button that gets held down when the trunk closes? Mebbe that button isn't making contact anymore.

If the switch is in your latch mechanism, then check to see if it has gotten stuck. Is your radio antenna down all the time now? I have not had to work on a Legend latch yet. I know that other honda cars have it there.

that light is so dim anyways... just take the bulb out and forget about it!!

but seriously, all the lights around my keyholes won't go out!!! even the light on the one around the steering wheel. think its the same basic problem? I think mine has something to do w/ the ICU though...

I say, get inside the trunk and close it and see what happens.

well wen i close the trunk the light is still on because i can see it through the rear arm rest. i have a lil bypass thing there for bass and ish. the light on the cluster wont go out. the only time it goes out is when i unplug the trunk lock. and right when i connect it, it goes back on.

On the trunk lock portion, you'll see a little piece of film, made of some sort of heavy duty aluminum or piece of metal. It's slightly flexible. look at it, its small and it makes contact at a certain point, i think a peg (not sure) holds it in place... try moving that lil piece of metal over the peg.

On mine, the little metal contact moved out of place, so when i closed the trunk it would say its open and light up the light... When your trunk is open.. does the trunk warning light on the dash go off and think the trunk is closed? If so.. its probably reversed like i said...

You could try to readjust the latch/striker and/or the trunk lid edge cushions. When the trunk is latched, is there some "play" if you push up and down on the lid? When the trunk lid is latched, is the top front edge of the trunk even with the top edges of each of the quarter panels?
