very stupid question time --

the color code (door jam sticker) for my '95 GS is YR-505M

I punch that into google and get this --

Honda
Touch-Up Paint
Cashmere Silver Metallic
Color Code YR505M
1/2 oz. bottle
Features:
Honda touch up paint
Honda Cashmere Silver Metallic Color Code YR505M
Limits further damage
Protect your investment
Easily administered

I KNOW my car isn't silver, but gold. So what color is it? Desert Mist ?

I did look through the noob guide, but since the codes aren't listed and an internet search turns up SILVER I thought I better ask.

ALSO listed as silver here also --

thanks

That's just the name of the color. Car color names don't always make sense. For instance, on the 95L model Legends there was a color available called Garnet Red-it's not even red, it's purple. There was a gold color available on earlier Legends, but if your door jamb sticker says YR-505M your Legend is Cashmere Silver. Your car is not gold.

Hi:

I have a 95 Acura sales brochure. Your color is called Cashmere Metallic. I looked in my service manual and it calls YR-505M Cashmere Silver Metallic. It looks more gold to me than silver. Nice color.

thanks everyone. I agree DrDave

I was explaining to my wife that our car looks like a "soft" gold rather than a "hard" gold that I've seen around, and what looks like Pro foundac91 car's color is.
