i say if you have another car to drive around fix the leg.... if its your only car it doenst matter where you get the car from its going to rust. thats just something you have to learn to live with especially with all the salt on the road. if you are fortunate to have a daily driver then use that whenever theres snow and keep the leg safely in the garage. wheres the pics at of the leg after the kimo?

I dont have another car right now but the winter is coming to an end and i'll have a beater by next winter (ill be storing the legend at that time).

Pics? The car goes in next week. Waiting for front bumper to arrive.

$1500 for labour and paint is a really good deal, such extensive work would cost way over $2000 in Toronto. I have some rust too, not as bad but need to get it fixed before it gets worse. Thanks for scaring me

Wow, mine has some spots that are getting kind of bad, but sheesh, I'll stop cryin about it, yours is DEF alot worse. Those prices I assume are canadian dollars? Even still, if my conversion is correct, thas a decent price for here in the US as well. At least I know what Im getting myself into once I hit the body restoration stage. Cant wait to see the finished project! a rust free legend = a happy legend. Good luck with ur project man.

MORE RUST BABY!!!!!!!!!!!

**UPDATE**

So I took the whip to the body shop yesterday.. and with a pleasent phone call this morning, was asked to come take a look at my new found rust! damn that shit really knows how to hide itself..

My rear driver side quarter

Passenger side rockers

Below front fender

More trunk

Im not sure what this part it called, but its where the metal support bolts in that holds the bumper assembly. Its bent to SHIT and was causing a about a 2 inch gap between my headlight and bumper.

Ok I know the engine is dirty, yeah yeah.. but can someone confirm that this is JDM? Im almost positive, im just not sure of the physical signs.

whow. new found?

they should have assumed it would be like that.

are they asking for more money, or did they just want you to see it?

b/c what u are seeing is NORMAL for the amount of rust you had seen from the outside

so i hope they took that into account when giving you the original estimate.

thanks alp. yeah your first reply did get me a little down, because youre right and it made me think.
i feel better now though and i dont have a problem with an extra $150. i mean, especially if the job is done right. (to my expectations, which are pretty high)
