i like to see your car when its done, i was at a body shop talking to the owner who did a few rust jobs on legends with rear wheel fender rust, its very common on legends, and he said it will be back after a couple of years or something. but i like how you post up all these pictures and all, good work.

$1.5k is not bad at all consider all the works that need to be done with the car. I fixed the rust problem about 4 yr ago and it costed me about $850 for both rear quarter panel cut-and-replace with new metal. This cost include repaint of both rear quarter panel and fixing another midsize dent on the door. The works take about a week overall.

A word of caution, if you decide to fix all those rust and plan to keep the car for more than 3-4yr, do it with fiberglass instead of new metal. The metal will rust again. This happen to my legend which begin to show small rust spots near the same place as before. This is especially true if you live in NE. Fiberglass will be much better in this case. Fiberglass will cost a little bit more tough (4yr ago estimates was about $1k for the two rear quarter panels alone).

thanks for the heads up.. although i plan to never drive this car in winter again.

for the record. the total price for paint & labour was $1600.
this included factory pearl white + shaved antenna and everything painted aside from the roof and hood. the hood matches very well as i pulled it off another pearl white legend shortly after i picked this one up.

anyways.. this is the last teaser before the photoshoot (i plan to take it to the mountains close by). i cant words cant describe how i feel about this car and how it looks up close. he did such a great job (alot more than i paid for) and for the first time owning a legend, i have a front end!!!! weee..

Looks nice ! Now get it oiled sprayed to slow down future rusting. Buy a Civic for the winter.

Your car had cancer. Its in remission so I wish her a long and healthy second life.

Enjoy it.

And make sure you do a big photoshoot with a real camera.
NO CELL PHONE SHOTS please

I am waiting .......................................

np harooni.. but there are more ways to tell someone to watch out than making negative comments.

the guy i met is independant and he did everything himself (from weld to paint) which is hard to find. also i didnt have to pay any royalties because not only was he the worker, but the owner.. but i did get more work performed for my dollar than most..

if you want to know anything more just ask.. and i have no problem with giving out contact information also because i am proud and DO vouch for this guy.

HOLY SHIT! I got curious why this thread had 5 pages, you definitely needed a new thread for a teaser. Man that looks good. $1600, thats unreal for the amount of work they did.

I think OEM is the best look. I just don't happen to think any of the various arrangements of OEM got it exactly right all at once

CONGRATS!!!

Hey shtewps, I dont know if u remember me. But my car is exactly the condition ur car used to be (well may be not that severe). I got few quotes, one said $1500 and I know the work is as good as it gets and another said $400 along with the words "you cant be picky" so I ran away from him.

I think 1600 is a decent price and from those pics, its well worth it.
My car is pearl white too and the rust stands out like piss on snow. The guy told me it will cost extra few hundred bucks just because of the pearl paint.

Congrats man!!! I can tell that you probably feel like king right now.
One question, did u spray the whole car or just the quarters?

Very nice, difference is night and day! I would suggest getting those skirts painted however, I think you would be very pleased with the outcome. Either way, car looks awesome man, congrats!
