What does "Type II" mean
I recently had a new engine put in my 94 Legend and it says Type II on the valve cover? How is that engine different from the original?

The Type II engine has a different intake manifold, fuel pressure regulator, and heads. It revs a bit higher and makes more peak power. All '93-'95 coupes and '94-'95 GS model sedans came with the Type II engine, as well as different gear ratio transmissions, stiffer suspension, and 2-caliper front brakes with thicker rotors.
