2005 Acura Rl Rides rough

Can the wear on your tires cause your car not to ride as comfy as it used to ? I've noticed that my car does not drive as well as it used to and you feel each and every bump and groove in the road. Does anyone know if I should have my suspension checked out or can this easily be resolved by purchasing new tires ?

When I purchased my car it only had 40k miles on it and now it has exactly 46k and I've noticed it does'nt handle as well as it used to can anyone give me advice as to what I should do ?

Wheel alignment ?

Tire change ?

or

Suspension problems ?

It could be anything you just mentioned. I would check the tires first though.

If I were to upgrade my suspension on my 2005 Acura RL and put on the suspension of a 2008 Acura RL could that make my ride better ?

I have access to a full suspension from a 2008 RL with very low miles on suspension. My question is would swapping the suspension make my car ride like new ?!?!

Having put so few miles on the car yourself, I wonder if you're just getting used to the car. In general, I find newer model cars have sub par ride quality because of their large rims and thin side walls. If anything is wrong, I'd bet its the tires. Your car is too young to have suspension components wearing out. At 46k miles, the tires might still be original and if they are, they're almost certainly on their last leg. Grip and ride quality diminish towards the end of a tire's life. Go check your tread and if you're tires are spent, I'd recommend getting a nice set of yokohamas. My avid's seem to have the best ride quality of the several tires I've owned (michelin, kumho, dunlop).

I think OEM is the best look. I just don't happen to think any of the various arrangements of OEM got it exactly right all at once

If you live in NYC, it is the tires for sure, have them checked.... the car is to young for it to be the shocks....
