Allright Guy's, this is a one time offer! A chance to own a piece of Legend Performance Part History!
For Sale here is the Jig Pattern used to create the IDS line of Strut Tower Bars! All clearances and measurements are accounted for, and a bar that fits this Jig will fit a G2 Legend perfectly! Here is a Little History... IDS V-1 The design behind the IDS V-1 bar was concieved during the original R&D (2005) of the first IDS strut tower bar. However when the production of the Original IDS bar began, the V-1 (singular tube) design was surpassed and stored away. Recently, when going through our inventory, someone happened upon the V-1 prototype on the shelf. Since the majority of the Legend community is looking for a highly functional, cost-effective alternative to the MLS/MLS-copy bar, the IDS V-1 bar was born. The singular 1.5" 304 stainless steel oval tube design of the IDS V-1 bar allows production cost to be decreased, thus passing along the savings to the performance minded Legend Enthusiast. Also included are 0.5 inch solid 304 Stainless Steel mounting feet, precision cut by a computer-controlled waterjet CNC machine. The IDS V-1 bar weighs in at roughly 4-5 lbs. Please Click HERE for a review. For more pictures of the V-1, click HERE. IDS PRO The IDS PRO strut tower bar is the Second generation spawning from the Original IDS strut bar (2005). The IDS PRO bar provides an updated fitment for all engine configurations including Type 1, Type 2, and 3.5 legend applications. The PRO bar is constructed in a twin-bar style design utilizing 7/8" solid 304 Stainless Steel bar stock, and also includes the .5" solid 304 stainless steel Waterjet CNC precision cut mounting feet also used on the IDS V-1 bar. To be honest, the IDS PRO is the M-1 Abrams T-A-N-K of the strut bars available for the Legend. Its fully solid construction provides a level of fortification (increasing frame rigidity)between the Strut towers previously unseen in preceeding Legend-Specific bars. However, due to the nature of its construction, the IDS PRO bar weighs in at around a hefty 14 lbs. The IDS PRO strut tower bar represents the absolute PREMIUM in suspension upgrades for the legend. Pictures are available HERE On behalf of senior member HINOW, the following review of the IDS PRO is presented: "Matt, if you recall, I bought the first production bar after yours, and am 110% satisfied. Keep in mind, I have had the KMS, original MLS from Japan, MLS copy, and the IDS bars. I may be in the market for another IDS too." -Hinow, memeber since 2003 **UPDATED REVIEW** Quote:
IDS V-1 Strut Tower Bar: **I will provide the Buyer w/ the most recent prices. IDS PRO Strut Tower Bar: **See Above** **NOTE**: The issue relating to the relocation of the AC Line commonly experienced during the use of the MLS/MLS-copy has been corrected in the design of the IDS. Reason For Selling For both my partner (fabricator) and myself, having to sell the means to which we made these bars leaves a bit of an empty feeling. Into this pattern setup went many hot summer afternoons of work, toiling away at the small details. This setup is more or less a memory in tangible form, any none of us enjoy having to forget. The fact of the matter is, Quinton, my fabricator is having to go in a different direction with his business (food grade stainless steel deployments). The current market (and the IRS) have forced Quinton to move his business out on the road, spending months at a time putting together everything from water purification plants, to Dairy applications. So, without a shop, this hobby has got to seek an end. I have considered keeping the pattern for myself, but I don't personally have the skills or equipment necessary to even dream of trying this. And quite honestly, I don't want to have to seek out and sell another fabricator on the specifics here in town, since it was something Quinton and I worked on together. So here's you chance. Jig Pattern Pictures HERE The Bottom Line This setup will include the pattern apparatus, and 2 sets (four total) of Precision Water-Jet Machined Mounting Feet. This, in the hands of a capable fabricator, will be an Ready-Made setup of sorts. Due to the nature of the package, the mass of hours spent on its construction, and its ability to provide an instant production potential... The price will be $750 + shipping + any paypal fees should that be your payment method of choice. I will also accept personal Checks, however, Full Payment will be required and cleared before it is shipped! **All Reasonable Offers will also be considered...** Regards, Matt

pricey, i don't think its too pricey at all. think about it. this is a tool to make unlimited amounts of IDS bars. i'm sure they have invested over $1500 into making and setting this up.

PM replied! As far as fitment on the 3.5, our intention was to modify the jig pattern for said fitment, but never got around to it. According to my fabricator, it would be as simple as adding another shim to the transverse section of the bar to account for said clearance. I believe in all, we have produced around 15 bars. This however can be attributed to my fabricator's travel schedule, as I was unable to fill all orders.
Hope this helps! Regards, Matt
