what's that face plate made out of and how thick is it?

I think plexiglass or something similar, not too thick.. maybe 1/8th (going off memory but it's on my desk at home)

I'm going to see if it can be refinished to be a closer match to OEM. There's a guy over at acurazine that does amazing work with single and double din dash kits. I got the single from him and the paint/texture match is incredible. His name is uncald4 I think

Do you mean the blue wires? They're 0 gauge, but there's roughly 5 ft of blue left for ground. I didn't end up stripping the wires from my car due to lack of time. I'd recommend Knukoncepts.com if you want cheap wires. Not a fan of their RCAs though

Travis (Uncald4) can paint it to match OEM texture for $30 shipped, I can ship to him straight.

2. RL chrome grill trim top and lower grille - $20 shipped
Seems parts show some cracking? Might not look good up close. Whatever.. you have the advantage of seeing what it looks like. I didn't... got it off eBay and was too anal to put it on my RL.

3. 2001 CLS headunit. $100 shipped
Have code. Played burned MP3s fine. Not sure if this is the same as TL since TL has factory sub. IIRC it should be compensated for at the amp level? Please double check 2G TL owners.

4. Front speakers - CL - $30 shipped/pair
Some indentations on srround, doubt it'll affect performance. Tried to take pics of it.

there's a thread I did a while back w/ basic info on the system. No one had posted a DIY on it so I figured everything out myself. It's still pretty fresh in my head and not that hard. I'm pretty sure I could walk someone wish basic understanding of electronics through the install portion.

Also, I have my old 16's sitting around at my SD home. I've seen a pic of these on pre-98 RLs and I think Legends.. not half bad. I've been wanting to try my hand at wheel refinishing and think they'd look good in gunmetal. Wondering if anyone'd be interested in some RL rims. Condition should still be good but I'll have to wash them good to double check

1997 RL with '02 RL rims

^ That's the 02 rims on an older style RL that I'm referencing. I see some sort of gunmetal on white or silver that might look pretty slick but not overly ricey or cheesy
