True, they're fun to play with on off season though and accurate enough to get an idea where you're at. The sole reason I picked it up was to measure my 0-60's.

It's hard to find a place where you can measure an accurate 1/4 mile. One since there aren't many flat 1/4 mile stretches you can test on to get an accurate reading. And two, you usually end up breaking 100mph when testing and in most states thats considered wreckless opp. Unless you can find an area close to home such as industrial parks, closed track, or inoperable air strip, forget about testing the 1/4 mile. Just go hit up the track.

Hmm... Originals, impressive. I honestly didn't think they would take such a beating.

As for pricing, where ever I can find a deal online. I know they are in the same price range, I was talking street tires in comparison which I get for free from the local bmw stealership.

2.0 60 on bfg's, but not 1.9...

I'm not sure how my new 6 speed with the o'l type 1 will do this season. I'm nowhere close to stock though. She's armed with an LSD, stage 3 clutch and 5 speed flywheel along with a number of other goodies. I plan reducing the weight to just under 3200 lbs before track season with the help of 12lb carbon fiber seats, so she should rip off the line nicely.

My P-P/ V job is complete, and the custom manifold is in the works but I've run out of funds for my Type 2 project for now... we'll see what happens in the next couple of months.

Drag radials are shit imo unless you're talking about DOT slicks otherwise they're not much better than regular hi performance street tires. I wouldn't put Nitto 555s on my grandmas wheelchair.

So you got a real 0-60 time yet? How dare you put up numbers that didn't have twelve boffins present, with two way averages, and a partridge in a pear tree!

Here's a 1/8th mile to 0-60 calculator you can whine and moan about. Here

You'll be surprised how fast your car gets to 60. Your 8.8 @ 78 1/8th timeslip equates to a 5.21 0-60 time. That's hi-steppin' for a land yacht.

Solid work.

Yeah, street tire's on heavy ass chrome rims with a super pussy foot. I bet you can dip just under 5.0 with a perfect start on the slicks.

GSM. These slicks work quite a bit better than street tires according to Dv8.

Unless you're running on shaved down Nitto NT01's, bfg street radials or the select few SR's out there, that statement is BS.
I along with Dv8 have the most run's down the 1/4 mile in the legend no doubt. He will tell you from experience running the slicks and I can tell you the same after making 60' comparisons. The slicks will get you out of the hole significantly better and in the 1/4 mile, that is what make's all the difference. You should know this shit.

i dont think he said anything about slicks not being better then street tires.. i think he was saying that drag radials which are street legal tires arent that much better then normal high performance tires.
