fastest legend? how?

haha this may be a random question, idk but does anyone know who has the fastest legend on here? i wanted to know how to boost up power with a legend engine whether it be a T2 or an RL engine. I've seen a supra with 1300hp and wondered how the hell with that engine. is it possible to get up in the 5-600hp region with any of the legend engines maybe w/out turbo or s/c?

Nope, turbos are the only thing that can bring up th HP. Or going nitrous is another opinion, but when using the nitrous, your gonna run a risk of destroying the motor.

so if i probably get a swap for an RL engine, which idk if I should or not, I change all the interior parts to widthstand the power, intake headers exhaust then turbo it should be sorta fast but not as fast as like 500hp+?

When building a motor, you gotta lighten it up a little like aluminum pulleys, port and polish, you know, engine work. Turbos or superchargers are the only thing that can give you the true HP, but I don't know how strong the HG are on the 3.5 motors.

Of course you gotta make custom headers and find a good place to attach the turbo. And you need to upgrade the ECU to control the flow of gas going through the injectors. Look at Telion and DV8. They are almost getting there with their turbo setup. All we have to do is wait and find out how much HP they are gaining from their setup.

The HG on 3.5's are strong enough. the problem boosting a 3.5 is the stroke it has that bumps it up from the 3.2 litre engine. search around the performance section some then post...

Based on visual confirmation of timeslips, videos, dynos and extensive car and mod history, Dv8 has a proven 12.9 1/4 mile time and dynos, yielding him as the fastest Legend on these forums.
Many are building new setups, but until they dyno and track, its just another claim or story half finished and forgotten.

The Supra is a fundamentally different sort of car and would be a weak comparison. For starters, it has a lot of things the Legend simply doesn't:
-strong aftermarket support
-an enthusiastic tuner fanbase
-a lot more engine room
-an engine overbuilt to begin with
-lots of cars with which it can share parts
-and so on and so forth

As other posters have said, there is definitely a lot of potential with the Legend and although I'm personally very much against forced induction such as turbos and superchargers, the possibility exists. Don't forget however that the Legend is first and foremost a luxurious car and not one built with "speed" as its primary focus.

Oh and then there are lots of different ways to define "speed" ~ only some of them on a straight line.

160 shot of nitrous worked well for me made over 320 with tune on 1996 rl motor 180k and type 2 intake man and Telions 3.5 center pulley Labrats ps, tensioner pulley and alt pulley and safc 2 with race fuel so much more room for hp ... web cams, headers, full cat back, aem stand alone and so many mods just very costly...

the supra comparison..is imo..a very weak one, I'm very new to the honda & fwd (im a nismo freak) side of things but the 2jz is essentially as is the nissan RB series a detuned race engine...they were built to do what they do...& if you want to put the $$ lookout!

that being said..if you are willing to put the money into it you can do it, & unless your handy with a welder...your gonna pay.

when guys say how your gonna get it to work?...fuel management..turbo sizing..dp..wg..ic piping..ect..also remeber its all X 2 we got a V6..not a I6

As it stands now, I think The Crowings timeslip is the fastest (12.54 sec IIRC), but he's not posting up details of his build yet so I know there's probably more than a few skeptics.

From posted dynos the supercharged arcadias are tops IIRC (they've got a twin turbo arcadia as well that should make more power when it's done, but I don't think they were done with that build yet). I don't think we have 1/4 mile times for them.
