Do you mean 81? Or 91? Since the Legend wasn't made until 1986, I assume 91. Anyway, in the G2 Legend (91-95) you simple remove the center console trim, unscrew the two screws under the radio, and pull the radio out.

on a 5 speed, you'll have to unscrew the shifter knob, then remove the trim around the shifter and the radio. Be careful when you remove the trim, it is somewhat fragile and cracks fairly easy. Good luck!

Re: acura legend

Like LUVMYLEGEND and Chris said..

itīs very very simple! If you have an ATM (Automatic Transmission), you must (flat screw driver) pull out the small black cover, then remove the 2 screws and finally pull gently the whole wood panel. Be careful: ONLY PULL this panel ! This panel contains 6 metal clip holder (2x upper, 2x in the center and 2x lower).

At the next step, you can finally pull out the radio, After this, you must pull out the...

- snap-in wiring plug
- antenna cable
- 7-pin DIN cable (CD changer)
- 5-pin of Audio control

Thatīs all !

you guys have it lucky. Its quite the ***** to remove the stereo on the G1 legend sedan. It took my friend and I 5 hours to do it. We had to remove most of the dash and the shifter encasing. We the had to design our own screw drive to reach from down around the pedals all the way up to the stereo. Getting the **** screwdrive was a pain in the ass, fighting the pedals, the cramped space, the limited vision and the need to keep a flashlight somewhere. Like I said, it was a *****.
