Aftermarket stereo inquiries...need help

Hey guys i am just getting finished removing my old bose system andgoing aftermarket with speakers, a sub, and new head unit....I was reading an earlier post about removing the bose system and someone said you had to bybass the bose amp or something i was completely oblivious to....wut kind of special steps would i have to take so that my aftermarket system sounds like it should?

Depends on which model you have. I had the factory bose amp mounted under the radio, the nicer models do not. The amp will be behind the rear seat back.
Which model do you have?

edit: You have a 1g. NOt sure about those.

I am going to sell the old system to someone in this forum.........the model I have is a 1990 LS.. someone in this forum said you either had to bypass the amp or splice the wires, amp the speakers IDK I need help asap I want to finish tomorrow
