sorry, more pics won't be possible, unless the new owner joined the boards...! it was not very difficult, which is why i didn't even try to make a 'diy'... i took out the back seat, and used a pair of pliers to remove the metal clasps (hog rings?) that hold that fake leather flap in place behind the armrest. I guess i could have cut an opening in it, but then i would not have been able to put it back if i ever wanted to. i removed the carpet thing that sits in the trunk against the back seat, and measured how tall the space was from the lowest part (I think there was a cross member under the deck if i remember) to the floor. i bought a sub enclosure that would fit in there, and it had an angled front, so it would go against the angle of the back seat. i had bought vinyl from when i made my funny-looking shift boot for the automatic shift lever, so i cut a hole in that, and placed it over the sub so it would look like the factory leather rather than just a black box (when you remove the flap, you can see down into the trunk and it looks bad, so this filled it in). the box i bought was perfect, when i put the carpet thing back in the trunk, instead of going back with the angle of the seat (since the box was there) it went straight down at a 90 degree angle. i lost a bit of usable space on either side of the box, but i put my amp on one side and some random sh!t i had in the trunk on the other, so when the carpet was in place, the trunk was clean. the best thing is that the edge of the box sat right behind the flap for the spare tire, so i could still get to that without a problem. that was a fluke, but a good one. the box was so perfect, that i didn't even stick the vinyl down, i draped it over the box, and when i pushed it against the seat, the fit was so exact that the box was stuck in place and the vinyl jammed in so it stayed in place. basically, i did it this way because in all my life nobody has ever asked to see into my trunk, so going this way i got something that looked different, and also sounded pretty damn good, at least to me. also, the finished product looked like there was absolutely no system in the trunk, and whenever i parked somewhere shady i would flip up the armrest and the sub disappeared. i didn't want anything flashy, but i added the light just for the heck of it, mainly because i noticed the letters on the sub were raised, and when the light was on, you could read them... on my next car, if i have time, i might try to mess with something nice in the trunk, but ONLY if i can't open up the back seat to poke a sub through!
