Headunit won't switch to CD mode when pressing AM/FM button...

Hey folks,

I have a '95 L. I recently purchased an Alpine CHA-634 CD changer, the AI-M adapter, and ACU-ALP adapter. Installation was fairly simple, as I connected the changer all the adapters, and the factory wiring in trunk.

I know the changer is getting power, because I can eject the CDs fine, and it will load the tray into the changer.

However, when I hit the AM/FM button on my stock headunit, it refuses to switch to CD mode, as I understand it should from the manual and other online articles. It just continues to flip between the AM and FM stations.

Has anyone encountered this before? Are there any suggestions? (I hope someone knows something quick...'cause I leave for a trip on Thursday and REALLY hope it's working by then...)

Thanks for all advice...

Yes, I did get it work. There was a tiny switch on the side of the CD Changer, and it was in the wrong position. Something like it was in position 1 and needed to be in 2, etc. I don't have the unit anymore, but that fixed the problem.
