Ipod interface

Does anyone know which ipod interface that allows to keep your external CD changer? I'm planning to install an ipod in my car, but I don't want to lose the functionality of CD changer. Please Advise

Give us some specifics first. What HU do u have in the car? What CD changer is connected? Otherwise, there is no way we can even start.

My car has the Standard Bose factory radio and an Alpine CD changer in the trunk. Nothing has been modified. Thanks

I know stevieray has somthing like that. I think he has an alpine 6 disc changer though. Anyway, both the changer and ipod work in his car.

Well, it would be easier if you had something with auxiliary inputs. Let's hear how stevieray did it. I would have said get a HU with aux inputs, that way you do the ipod and the cd changer. But then, if you don't feel like tearing into you system and going with new equipment, that's out of the question. But for around $200, you could get a simple HU that is ipod ready, and will take the Alpine CD changer. Even if it's not ipod ready, but takes the cd changer AND has auxiliary inputs. This is provided your speakers are 4 Ohms. If they are, then you don't have to buy new ones.

Check this out. No cd hookup but you keep steering controls.

Stevieray,
I just want to clarify, but that will work with the Apline changer than came with the car from the factory??? I am not sure of the model number of It but I think it has 4 numbers, not 3 like mentioned in the description.
