i dont wanna be one of those prick "KIDS" with a nasty sub woofer set up that just rattles the car and everyone can hear it from 50 yards away. so i was hoping to throw together a custom sub set up in my trunk. im going to throw in two 12" Kenwoods (i know, kenwood is not top of the line but i have everything else Kenwood so i thought i would keep it classy, ya dig?) in an entire Plexiglass box. I was recently informed that it wouldnt sound too shabby with an ENTIRE Plexi set up, anyone have any ideas. and IF i do it myself, how much would i be looking at? Thanks all.

well as long as the enclosure is tightly sealed then it should be good and the plexi would look good if you put some neons in their. may seem a little ricer but i think it would look good. an kenwoods are a alright brand.

with two 12" ? you dont want people to hear your from a mile away?? why 12".. go 10's then.. 10 nice and classy. good bass, but not dirty. for the box get a double box but sepeate enclosure's.. dont worry about the plexi-glass.. unless ur showing ur trunk off to people .. theres really no point. im running two JL 10" W something... forget.. but like ... no rattles.. none what so ever.. only until i blast it.. but at that point my ears are bleeding so it wouldn't even matter.

well im hoping to get a FULL kenwood setup incase i trade it into a dealership or something, that way it doesnt look tacky. haha. and i KNOW the 12" Kens on Woofersetc.com are pretty creamy. and i have ken speakers and they are FAR better than i thought they would be. so idk how impressed i will be by the subs, ya know?

well, given the fact that Plexi is extremely expensive, very heavy, and difficult to work with, you may be better off keepin it simple.
I speak from experience. Maybe make the front of the box plexi so you can see inside, some of the flash without all the cash |
