New Tweeters for Front Stage

I am looking to buy Tweeters to mount on my A-Pillars to compliment a pair of 6.5"s in the front doors.

Anyone have any recommendations for quality tweeters?

Thanks!

My car came with 2-way Infinitys in the front, but the highs coming out of them sound horrible, so I am proabaly going to get a set of tweets and then maybe replace those 6.5"s if the Mids sound rough.

I have seen two sets that I am interested in, but I hesitate to spend too much money for tweets.

The JBL Power P25t's are 88 shipped, and the Infinity Kappa 10.7t's are 80 shipped, both from ebay. Has anyone heard these?

I have been looking at some DIY audio forums, including DIYmobileaudio, to see if I could find something right for my install. I have had a couple people tell me to buy seperates so I think thats the route I am going to take.

As far as the tweeters go, the Seas 27TFFNC/G @ $25 each. They are very well rated overall and people perfer them to the highest end JBL tweeters.

http://www.timbreaudioonline.com/catalog3.html

I was also recommended LPG tweeters but they only get the higher end of the highs, and since I dont have all my crossovers and strong 6.5" speakers in place, the Seas seem to be better because of their frequency response.

http://www.madisound.com/lpg.html

As far as my current 6.5" (Infinity Refrence), they might have to go as soon as I see how these new tweeters work out.

Alpine? JBL? Infinity? There are much better brands out there with much better quality. Seas, Morel, Peerless, LPG are just some I can think of.

www.madisound.com is a great website

the seas posted above is the best option, but the main thing to tweeter in the apillar is the ability to control them. by control, i mean the volume they play and the xover point. eq is everything

Yeah I have been holding off on buying these Seas tweets because I want to make sure that I have the right setup to control these.

Someone has recommended an external EQ:

COUSTIC XM 6 CROSSOVER

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ype=osi_widget

This will allow me to select the crossover frequency for the tweets to make sure I get them tuned correctly, plus it can also shape the low end signal to my subs, plus its not too expensive.

I am thinking that need to get a new head unit first anyway, I have this crap sony that came with my car. I need a good source, and I want a screen, so am thinking a touch screen DVD player... so I am looking out for one at a good price.

I will be sure to update when I get those tweets in and let ya'll know how it sounds
