OEM to Aftermarket Swap Trouble

Waz craccin yall...It's been a minute since I've posted on this site...I finally got The Sweetest Ta6luu Bacc...But I was having trouble installing my aftermarket head unit into her. I am using the SCOSCHE Car Stereo Wiring Connector for 86'-Up Honda Vehicles( It says it is compatible with my 92 L). The head unit is from Wal-Mart. Its the Dual CP6415.. Dual Electronics - Mobile Audio Combo Packages - CP6415
I Connected all the wires correctly( Color MAtching and Double Checced), However, The Damn Thing Won't turn on... The fuse doesn't look blown. I'm tryin to figure out wtf is up..

Any HElp?

Take the unit out, and connect the red and yellow wire from the unit to + terminal of the battery. Then connect the black wire to the - on the battery. If it doesnt power up, its cuz you bought a POS Dual unit thats defective. Ive seen it before with the Duals as Ive sold them before. If not, you made a bad connection somewhere. Soldering the connections is the best way.

That worked...So its probably a bad connection between the Scosche wiring harness and the connection to the stereo correct?

Yes I would have to think so. If you're inclined, use a volt meter and make sure that the red and black wires coming from the scosche harness have 12v coming from them. If not, you might have a blown fuse or some other electrical issue.

Will most definitely do, I dont think its a blown fuse because the stock head unit works just fine ( i use it to test), So I believe the problem would definitely have to be somethin wrong with the damn harness....Well i got all day tomorrow to mess with it..

Oh and where the hell are my manners, Thanx man..

Yeah no problem. If I were you, I would disconnect that scoshe harness, and make all the radio to harness connections off the car. Either using really good crimps or a solder, then plug the harness back into the vehicle and hopefully you will be good to go!

I'll Just Post it on this page to see if I get a response.

Is there anything special you need to do to put a aftermarket deck in these cars? I'm a noob with Legends but isnt there a factory amp? or is it like everyother car and you just buy the harness needed to plug and play?

Thanks
Dan
