Hi, I've been driving 91' Japanese domestic version Honda Legend Coupe for 2 years now. Until last week I didn't know that I have Bose sound system in my car. But the problem is my front speakers, it sounds good normally but makes fuzzy sound(distorted) like blown speakers when it plays high tone and some low tones. I think they need to be replaced(I already stuffed one of the speakers,I have scrub all the foam around mid-bass cone away...). According to a lot of listing(I have been reading for hours) regarding the Bose system, the speakers used in the Honda Legend LS are 2ohm speakers and need to replace them with 2ohm speakers as well. Otherwise 4ohm speakers can be used. But I don't know if my Legend is in LS or L class. I have digital A/C controller with one knob,no heated seat,no leather, simulated wooden interior,no TCS,it's year 91' japanese domestic version and the headunit looks the same as the Acura Bose but it has 'Honda' decal on it. Then, is my Legend in L class so I'm able to use 4ohm speakers for the front? I took out the door panel and I was able see the speaker, the speaker had 2 cons(1 tweater,1 mid-bass) in one. Does anyone have picture of those 2ohm or 4ohm front speaker? Thanks in advance.

Never really heard of too many G2's without leather (except for base) All LS's had heated seats except 91 (which is yours). TCS wasn't out for 91's either. One knob means you have climate control (LS), but what puzzles me is you have simulated wood when all of us LS owners over here have real wood. Do you have body colored moldings? Also check for the bose external amp behind the rear seat. If you have an external amp then you have the premium Bose....

the best way is to check if you have amps behind your rear seats...if you do then you have the LS
also i believe on the LS radios they wrote BOSE premium, so if you have that then you have the 2 ohm radio with no built in amp. The side moldings are also another give away.

Your headunit should have a model number on it, either 2200 or 2100. If you have the 2200 you can replace with any normal 4 ohm speaker. The 2100 has the external amp behind the rear seat. The Legend trims outside of North America are different, so it's hard to identify what kind of system you have that way. It sounds like your car is roughly equivalent to our L model, so you are probably okay to replace with any 4ohm speaker.
