I purchased an aftermarket head-unit and Ipod interface in which I was gonna get installed along with my JL 12'' sub and amp into my 94' LS. First of all it is expensive! Second I have been hearing alot of horror stories that the sound will be ty!. My door speakers will no longer work? All I want the head unit for is to hook up my Ipod. I heard good and bad things about FM transmitters for Ipods. I actually bought one and returned it in the same day. Can anyone help me with a brand name of an FM transmitter for my IPOD that is not a piece of that gives off too much static??????

My husband recently installed a Kenwood stereo into our other car with the iPod interface. He is thrilled with it. It charges the iPod at the same time. Here's the best part - when you turn off the car/stereo it pauses the iPod. The only thing is he forgets to bring it into the house and load up his podcasts.

but by changing out his HU, he will not get any sound out of the speakers seeing as they are bose and the whole car will have to be rewired. you can always get the tape deck adaptor. as for FM transmitter, i had this really cheap one from walmart that plugged directly into the cig lighter and had a spot for USB as well as a headphone input. never had any static and i usually used it through the usb connector (i had a mem stick with songs on it), never failed...
