Sound system advice for 1994 legend GS..

I have a 1994 acura legend GS. My amp has gone bad. I am in the process of trying to find something to replace it as painless as possible. In the interum i had to take the center console out to replace some dash leds. before I put the center console back I want to make sure I dont have to remove it again when replaceing the amp or radio or any wiring to the radio. The center consoles tabs cracked off from drying out the first time it was removed and I have since repaired it but I dont know if it will survive a second time. I like the stock radio look and have a disc changer in the trunk and everthing works except the AMP cutting in and out. Not sure how to go on this..if i should just concentrate on the amp replacement only or look to do everything. Are these radio likely to fail as well?? I am not overly picky but unsure of which direction to go. Any input would be appreciated

If everything is working per your description then replacing the amp should resolve your issue. You will have to remove the rear seat to access the amp. Good luck in finding a good used amp...

Me personally, i would pick up an after market amp and just replace the mids if you can afford. Maybe to infinity or something. And as far as the stock cd, i would try getting an adapter wired into for the output for the amp. Thats just me tho.

Are there any plug and play aftermarket amp recommendations. Are there any considerations I need to know (omhs?? etc...).

If you have the bose "premium" the speakers are 2ohm where most car speakers are 4ohm.

iirc Boston makes 2ohm speakers.
