dont get me wrong..the pdx is a great amp..iam running 2 pdx 1000.1 amps..one to each type x sub..them joints push hard as hell..but like my man said..multiple amps (if installed right) will deff give you the advantage..but one pdx will do the job as well...and for the box...I say go ported...I say that only because thats what I have and its amazing...

Okay, so after talking to the guy at the car audio store for a while I think I am going to go with a sealed enclosure because thats what the manufacturer suggests as well as the car audio guy. The same place did my interior speakers and amp and did a real nice job and he offered to install everything (subs, amp, capacitor, box) and tune my HU and amp to sound perfect as well as including all the necessary wire for only 60$. I think I am going back friday to setup an appointment and try to have this all done by the end of next week.

nah, The box Im getting won't take up too much trunk space and its made perfectly for the exact subs im getting. Custom box would be too much $$ for me right now. Perhaps down the road after I dynamat which is my next question. How much dynamat will I need and where and how do I install it?

They have trunk kits you can buy to just do your trunk....found this on their site:

"Kit contains 5 18" x 32" sheets of Dynamat Xtreme for the trunk floor, side panels, and trunk lid for the ultimate bass and reduction road noise. Self-adhesive." ....$190. Maybe cheaper for the trunk kit on ebay or something.

The Official Dynamat Website

just picked it up from the shop and it sounds AMAZING. Guys down at Auto Creations in Bridgewater, NJ did a great job again. Only have the amp turned up half way and it still bumps so hard. I havent even played with the HPF and Subwoofer settings on the head unit yet either. any suggestions on settings?? If it helps to know im running an Alpine cda 9883 head unit. Open to advice. Will have pics up this weekend!

yep. Very compact which is nice for saving trunk space and it seems to be providing plenty of power. I love it.
