which units can control stock changer

sorry this is probably a huge repost, but i couldn't find anything by searching for "stock changer controls" and the like.

i'm going to upgrade my stereo soon. How can i tell which head units will be able to control my stock 6-disc changer? Is it just the alpine units with Ai-net? thanks guys

Any M-bus capable Alpine headunit will work. The stock changer is M-bus, but two wires must be crossed or the sound will come through funny. You can get a plug-n-play adapter for this or you can do it yourself (I know there is a post on this). You can wire an Ai-Net changer to an M-bus headunit with an adapter, but you cannot wire an M-bus changer to an Ai-net only headunit.
