It has recently come to light that many of the members here do not know of the iTrader rating system, or how to use it to leave feedback after sales/purchase transactions that were done through this forum. As such, this announcement serves to briefly explain its use.

The iTrader system functions much like the eBay feedback system that most of you are familiar with. It serves as a record of buyer and seller experiences to the benefit of future transactions.

Each user's iTrader rating is displayed beneath their user profile in the left column.

To read feedback that has been left for and by each user, simply click on the number in parentheses indicating the iTrader feedback rating of the user. This will take you to the user's iTrader page which will display the comments and relevant links (if available).

To leave feedback for the user, click on the "Submit Feedback For xxxx" link on the user's iTrader page. You may submit your feedback as a buyer or seller in the transaction and indicate whether the experience was positive, neutral (neither positive nor negative) or negative. A short comment describing the experience should also be left and a link provided to the relevant thread if available. A much more detailed comment can be left in a separate field.

The iTrader system is simple and can be quite effective in encouraging or discouraging future transactions. We encourage you to make use of this feature to help create a more user-friendly marketplace. While there is no way of preventing all fraud, it can help to reduce the potential of fraud and prevent repeat occurrences.

We hope that with the increased and consistent use of the iTrader feedback system, the experience of forum membership will grow increasingly positive.

All members/participants of this forum are subject to these rules and regulations and their associated consequences. Infraction of any of the rules will result in the issuance of infraction points that can lead to a ban either temporary or permanent.

1. All discussions are to remain on-topic except for ONE designated whore thread. Threads that are found to have posts that stray from the original discussion and/or "hijack" the thread will have the offending posts either moved or deleted at the discretion of the moderators. Punishment is warning, warning, then ban.

2. All links to content outside of acura-legend.com must be explained (at least briefly and truthfully). All posts with links that do not offer the reader sufficient information on what to expect to see/read when they click on the link are subject to deletion. Threads containing only a link aren't acceptable and will be edited, locked or deleted at the moderator's discretion. Links sending you into internet purgatory or to something that causes you to have to reboot are the opposite of funny and are not welcome.Punishment is warning, warning, then ban.

3. All discussions are to maintain a high level of civility in the exchange of thought. No personal threats or attacks including name-calling, racist or any other inflammatory remarks will be tolerated. Racist and homophobic language WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. And keep out of an argument thread. The thread starter and any other fellow arguers will likely get banned. Punishment is warning, then ban or instant ban, determined by moderator discretion.

4. NWS (Not Work Safe) images (either porn or oozing entrails - basically anything you wouldn't want your boss's boss's boss to see) are not allowed in any form. No NWS content is allowed whatsoever (this includes avatars and signatures).

5. Do not post another person’s personal information here. In fact do not post yours either. Private Messages (PM) should also remain private. Do not post conversations that have been conducted via PM or any means outside of the general forum without the consent of the other party.

6. Don’t swear in the subject line of your threads - the subject lines show up on the front pages of A-L.

7. If you feel someone has overstepped his/her bounds and you are taking offense, take the issue up with them via PM or email. If it continues, PM a Moderator or Admin, that’s why the “report this thread” option is there.

8. No discussion of involvement in illegal activity of any kind is allowed, whether open or inferred. We will not discuss street racing, illegal drugs, pirated software, borrowing serial numbers, warez or the like in the forum. In addition, no requests for VIN lookups or Carfax requests are allowed. These threads will be locked or edited/deleted.

9. If you're reprimanded for breaking a rule, don't whine about nazi moderators. This is a private forum hosted on servers that are owned, maintained, and paid for by people other than you. If you don’t like the rules here, there are other forums that will gladly have you.

10. The creation of alternate accounts for the purpose of circumventing a ban can result in the permanent ban of the new account name as well as the original account without warning.

11. Carfax requests are prohibited - this violates the TOS of carfax and will get you banned from carfax - it's against their policies so we don't allow it. Sorry.
