tips on gas

save money on gas by having highschool kids chariot your legend works for me or syphon(if i spelt it right) gas from some peoples old cars
truly this current gas situation is terrible back in the day gas was never this important in conversation now alot of people have to budget GAS in there check book expenses truly makes me angry

It's funny you said that, I was leaving it alone. I'll go ahead an chime in now, though.

Saying one pump died 10,000 hours before the other is bullshit anyway. How long did the other pump last then? You know there's only 8760 hours in a year? You know if a car runs 300,000 miles and averages 35mph it'll run less than 8600 hours?

^^i forgot to add that gas is $3.70 where im at, so wen these "tips on pumping gas" came up i was really optimistic but pointing out that half this stuff wasn't actually accurate... now im depressed is there anything i can do to keep money in my pocket?

Here's a few:

Make sure your tire pressure is at proper spec. Low tire inflation is probably the number one cause of lower fuel economy.

Check that air filter! A nasty air filter is a restriction, which lowers volumetric efficiency, which lowers fuel economy.

A full tune-up is always a good idea, but do it because you love your car, because money spent on said tune-up takes a long time to recoup from fuel savings.

You could always save money and ride around on your scraper bike.
