Austin/Houston Texas meet anyone?

Ok, so it looks like weve decided on having the meet in Houston on March 31st.

We are meeting at Memorial city mall, at the corner of gessner and Katy FRWY. basically we are doing, when you arrive call someone on the list and see where they are at. phone tag. we are gonna try to keep it simple. and the time is gonna be at 10:30, me and ike will be there earlier prolly. so call one of us. If you call Ike, leave a message so he knows who it is, he doesnt answer calls he doesnt know. but if you call me ill be answering. Alright guys, lets see some pretty legends damnit.

heres the lot where we plan on meeting

print out a contact list, or write them down, you will prolly need it.

i still wanna go for cruize, but we are gonna plan the rest of the day when we meet up. so post in here next week for a definent yes

heres Phuongs pictures and routes he has planned. Great job BTW
Route starts from Memorial Dr. @ (610) W. Loop Freeway N. and end at Memorial Dr. @ Houston Ave. down town is where I took my car's picture. The parking lot at Memorial Dr. @ Houston Ave. corner was empty on Sat. and Sun., so I guess we just drive in to take pictures for 10-15 min. the least and take off to lunch or what ever, I don't think that we should pay for the parking fee. What do you guys think?

Some one else should help to locate a BBQ place to eat.

I really wanna hit that road right under of Pinic rd and above Inwood. looks like some fun

If we did Houston, we could possibly do the 610 Loop...just wouldn't be great scenery. I like the idea of Austin and having a nice scenic drive. Maybe make a two day deal of it, Breakfast, then meet up and cruise, dinner. Then a breakfast the next morning before everyone takes off?

That sounds like a plan!! kinda like what we did at the last meet, except for having breakfast, i think lunch, then cruize then dinner would be good.

If people are willing to come up to Austin and stay for a night, i think i can find a cheap Hotel in the area. lets see what other people think they we can talk about with more confidence

That sounds good, ill start PMing members who were scheduled to come to the last one. Depending on my living situation at the time, i might be in my new place so i might have room for people to stay over if they dont wanna spend on a hotel room

I don't mind travelling up to Austin, hate to find babysit during weekend, wish I'm still single, but 610 route is fine with me too. Hey, it's not a bad idea to see each other to discuss more about our Legends yeah.

im up for anything really, my sister lives in Katy so it wouldnt be a problem for me to get down there. if a majority of yall want to stay in Houston, thats completly fine with me. someone wanna put together a route?? and i need someone to think of a place thats got enough room for us to park, like a parking garage, it would be cool to get some pics with the Houston Skyline in the background. anyone know of parking garages off that 610?

Ok, some members in Houston please help me out here. I'm thinking about Buffalo Bayou and along Up Town Park area all the way to downtown Houston. I hope we can shoot some pictures with Skyscrapers in the back ground. What do you guys think? I'm trying to use google earth to get some more details. Or I might check out this area this weekend. Any one who have faster google earth please help.

Sounds like a plan homie, lemme know when you find a nice route. i would love to get some pics with the skyscrapers. also, we need to think of a good place to get some lunch. i was thinking BBQ or something, but im up for sugestions. anything but chinese food

I think the only problem with the 610 loop idea...something I didn't think about when I suggested it...

Traffic. Everyone who lives in Houston knows that there's traffic on 610 ALL the time (construction, bad drivers, etc...)

Maybe we can find a nice road with a lot less traffic.

effin word! i dont wanna get stuck in traffic. find a back road route maybe? something maybe on the outskirts of houston. im sure theres something like that. too bad there isnt hills or anything.

Houston is closer to me, so that would be better...

I have a baby due sometime at the beginning of April AND this is the busiest time of the year for me (March/Early April), but I may be able to work a Saturday in there...

So I suppose I'll vote for Late March in Houston.
