ortega is crowded as hell. even at night. i dont think it would be very fun. and i was gonna say "IE this time assholes, make you guys drive the distance" I was thinking Fairmount Park in Riverside. its at the 60/215 interchange. kinda like that pace in san pedro, but alot bigger and not as packed. there is also a lake there if we want to throw some poles in, a paddle boat rental place, if we want to go on the lake, and a few fun photo ops. like a tank and an old steam engine. then if we wanted, we could check out the Mission inn or even climb mount rubidoux. i think you can drive up to the top. ill have to look into that. here is someones Flickr account, they have some pics of Fairmount. titled "at the lake" Flickr: Photos from Aloha Andy

Not kinda into all the other activities (ie: rock climbing, paddle boats, magic mountain) for a car meet. Id like to focus all my attention on the cars... Id do the other fun shit with ya any other day cuz youre my homie but not at a meet. We need to do some car shit. Take a cruise and record that shit so we can post up on you tube like these dudes did with their Q45s in Japan.... Be right back with a link.
+ I see myself on a paddle boat with my GF, not (skiing--sp-- between samo and austin)... just messing with ya man.

![]() Paddle Boats are cool....but we'd need more girls to show up to the meets to make it worth it....wait is my wife gonna see this? ![]() But seriously I do feel for Austin because he does have to come out from the IE each time... However, I think this next meet really should be a canyon run....thats one thing we havent done at the big, main meets in SoCal....have some fun IN the cars...yeah theres always the obligatory drooling in the parking lot and picture taking (thats just a given!), but we havent done any real solid runs and had fun with our cars....so long as nobody pulls a "Swift" in the twisties ![]() Anyhow, Austin, while it is past due time for us to go to your area, the canyons between the 101 and the PCH are just perfect for what we have been planning...unless you know of a sweet run in your area devoid of the five-ohs....check it out and let us know....but was it Riverside County that was the one crushing cars if they cited you for "street racing" ![]() But I think last time we suggested Mulholland, Dune Kanan, and some others....problem is the popularity of these roads...but they are good choices....anyone know of any others....again absence of cops is ALWAYS a plus! |

there are two stretches between the 101 and PCH I've driven on.... Los Virgines/Malibu Canyon Rd and Kanan Rd. There's more of a po-po presence on Kanan cuz it's more of an aggressive run w/ steep slopes. But I think if we all cruise it together w/o anyone doing anything too crazy we should be ok.

we can cruise around the park, it wont be fast, but it will be a cruise.
i just mentioned the boats because it was something to do at the park. but i cant really think of many places that wouldnt be boring to drive that dosent have cops around. we could cruise to soboba or something, then gamble since you only need to be 18. but that would go under "not doing something with our cars" |

No no.... Keep the Philipino, away from the casino.... lol Im sure if we go by there, youll see his car slowly dissapear from all the other Legends and straight into the vallet parking at the casino.
Im down to hit up a mountain, canyon run over in Austin's neck of the woods. I dont mind the drive, yea he does drive a long way to meets... Get a spot for us Austin, cop free, nice atmosphere, somewhere we can get good speeds for a "video op" White Cruiser's idea sounds like fun, especially for a video shoot through the tunnels right around that area... Let me get a link for you guys.... BRB

well, the only cop free cruise i can think of is the back way up to big bear. its pretty windy, wouldnt be very fast, but i did it last march and it was very pretty. still snow around.
from: Lucerne Valley, CA, United States of America to: Big Bear Lake, San Bernardino, California, United States - Google Maps then you guys can head down the front of the hill on your way home. i think we should meet at my g/f's house to piss off her dad. he hates my "jap car" |

I think the ideal meet would be a combination of driving our cars on challenging canyon roads and experiencing the essence of the car meet;the cruise and chance to meet our fellow Acura Legend/RL owners.A nice sunny wknd day would be tight.I really hope we can end da meet somewhere by my house in HB(by the beach) and bbq.My car just got ran into by my neighbor
so I think a meet around 4/19-4/26 would be nice.We should def get the word out and get names on da list.we need to pick a date most people can make.there's always somebody who cant go.What do you guys think? ps getting da crusie on video would be tight.anybody good with video/audio? bLaDe RuNnEr: 1996 Acura RL Ridin' on 20" Blades - SaNtA aNa, California Last edited by CALI-RL-714 : 03-15-08 at 05:38 AM. |
