OC/SoCal Meet?

I've noticed there a few people on here that stay in the Orange County/So Cal area and I just wanted to know if anyone was interested in a little meet? Nothing formal just interact with fellow legend owners. Yay or Nay?

I don't have a date set yet but possibly a saturday?

I've been thinking about this all of yesterday at work and since I've never been to a meet let alone organized one I need some input but heres what I got as of now.

- Say we meet up around lunch time in a yet to be named spot to exchange intro's/show our cars

- Go out and cruise to a scenic location for pictures and hang out (Irvine? Dana Point? Del Mar? Long Beach? San Diego? LA?)

- Then go for a bite to eat then...I dont know. Cruise the freeway? Dont know of any tracks out here to throw down some numbers besides the one in Irwindale. Super AutoBacs in Stanton (like a Homedept for car parts) Dont think you guys be interested in going to any amusement parks...Then theres locations I dont get the chance to venture out and just cruise recently cause of overtime but theres:

Anaheim Stadium parking lot (as a meeting place before we head out)
A willing Acura Dealer

..thats all I got for now anyway let me know what you guys think so we can get this going

Well first, we need to agree on a date and location. Saturdays are definitely the best for turnouts.

We also need to decide if we only want this to be straight SoCal, or do we want to meet somewhere a little farther north so the folks who live higher than us can get in.

My vote goes as folllows: We meet in between LA and SD somewhere along the Coast Highway, the 101.

Hang out, take some photos at one of the hundred super scenic pull offs for beach goers, then cruise out either north or south on the 101 for several miles getting a little driving in and have dinner at one of the many fine restaurants along the way.

I wouldn't mind travelling a little farther so the NorCal people could join on in too. The more legends the better! So what spots would be a good place for a mix of SoCal and NorCal to come and meet?

Honestly, ANYWHERE up the 101....there's so many awesome places off the coast highway to stop, eat, shop, anything... Plus, as we all know, it goes straight up to LA non-stop.

Coast Highway up past Oceanside as far as I'm concerned.

Someone throw out a date!

I think it should be after Fut's tie bar delivery so we can check out the installs and compare handling, etc...

Naw Presidents Day Weekend is no good (for selfish reasons lol...ill be in Santa Cruz that weekend lol) seriously though we couldnt get er done any sooner than that? The thing about winter is that January and February are notorious months for surprise super cloudy, cold ass days and even rain if things get planned out too far (which is why most public events around here dont go down too much till March or are held indoors just in case). If all were are going to do is meet up, cruise, pics, lunch, and cruise, dont plan it out so far ahead that we may be caught off guard by rain or something...

Also what do you guys think about meeting up somewhere on or near the 1 (PCH) and then heading over toward Malibu, Zuma, or Mugu Rock for pics??

Just a few ideas...

I forgot about Presidents day weekend that would be a good time since everyone would be off. And I'm not fimliar with the Coast highway or the locations out there so how would we go about picking a spot?

Well, PCH, or the Coast Highway is the beach line road that runs from below Del Mar all the way up to LA and then some. I'm familiar with it, but not enough to name a perfect spot. I don't think it'd be that hard to get on Google maps and work it out though...I'll try to get the rundown on a few spots today while I'm off.
