All of this may be true, but considering this thread is based on the premise of Legends driving on mountain passes.... perhaps a track would be safer.

Yea, but what he's trying to say is keeping safe from other racers. Them idiots are killing people like crazy right now... Dont you watch the news?

Plus, I think we need to stay away from the mountains for now....

I haven't read much news recently - I didn't know that the fires were so bad! 1300 homes destroyed. sheesh. I think a lake is a good idea, in case of fire just jump in the water. XD

The La Jolla Reservation (base of Palomar Mountain) was evacuated just last night so that run is also definitely out of commission for a while =/

300,000 people displaced so far. It's tough =(

speaking of dirty legends... I may wash my car every other day, my wife's car on the intervening days, and wax them both on the weekends. How's that for adding exercise into my daily routine while feeding my car obsession?

Dirty legend?!? you fellas gots to see my car ...after hitting sandstorms; from Casa Grande AZ., in route home along I-10W, plus really thick ash from the Santiago fire here in OC, man I swear you can plant some potatoes on the hood of the car

Anyway, back on topic here... let's just forget any canyon run (twisties) and concentrate on a better location for everybody to attend.

How about meeting at a restaurant for lunch, then a cruise someplace after, then a photoshoot

how about a meet and photoshoot next to one of the fires? lined up near the firetrucks?

who's gonna bring the marshmallows? ...j/k I hope you all still have homes. 500,000 displaced from their homes... man how awful is that.

well the canyon run is out.. but only because of the fires.. and i'm serious people.. its soooo rare to see someone racing in the hills.. especially the ones i take.. the biggest problem are the SUV's full of little blonde girls from westlake driving to the beach..

seriously people though.. why is everyone talking so much shit on driving the canyon.. its more likely you'll get Tboned by some civic in your neighborhood than getting hit by some racing super car in the hills.

its not like its some free for all .. or like these are all closely connected short little sections of road.. but i guess no one has the balls to actually come check it out for themselves
