I dont think Kotetu meant it as a negative warning, but more as a "Dont forget to check these things on or before the day-of"

And yeah that stuff should be up to snuff even for traveling on the 405

Not going to be able to make this one. Any OC people meeting before you leave? I'd be there to send you off.

Another subject for the future - anyone know about this?

Cars & Coffee : A website dedicated to capturing the great cars at the weekly gathering in Irvine, California formerly Crystal Cove

I've been there a few times after the Crystal Cove meet got shut down. Like CC, it's a good place to see some rare and/or high $ cars.

Next time Steve... and the Cars & Coffee, I believe it has been shutdown ...I've attended several of those weekly gathering with a friend who drives a 911 turbo, that was fun

Public outcry was overwhelming Graeme... they moved the venue to Crystal Cove, got even bigger then they finally shut it down!

Actually, Cars and Coffee at PAG is alive and well; the local NSX guys show up quite regularly. It started when Crystal Cove got shut down.

next person to say something negative about canyon driving can PM me personally and keep it OUT OF OUR MEET THREAD
Don't misunderstand me. I rather enjoy driving in canyons, even though I promised not to do it anymore. My list is, as you say, something that could and maybe should be used to evaluate the car every morning, but driving in a straight line at a steady speed is dynamically different than driving in curves at changing speeds. That your car that is A-OK to drive 30 miles to work is does not mean you are safe to drive on a mountain.

Finally, remember that I posted this list out of concern and care for people who I like and consider friends, even if we've rarely met. If I was going to say don't drive in the canyon, I would have said that, it is much shorter.

Anyway.

If anyone knows a thing or 2 about canyon runs on this forum, I would think it would be Kotetu. Haa anyone seen his car? Its one sweet ass modded ride. I dindnt get a chance to ride in it but from what Ive seen and heard from others and from himself, he keeps his shit in tip top shape. He's even dynoed and tuned his shit. If I was planning on getting some internal, exhaust, or suspension work done, He's the guy Id go to for advice. Yet alone his NSX seat conversion to stay in his seat also has to contribute to some twisties I would think.

Any ways.... I aint gonna hit these corners at crazy speeds, Im just cruising it. Any little rock can make your car spin out of control then youll be on someones avatar and have to change your name to Swift II....

I spoke to Barry last night and we will caravan on the 405 to the 10.

Its on like Donkey Kong!!!!

^^^ Yes, I have the privilege Jonathan; although it was bone stock ...2 summers ago, SoCal meet in Surf City/Seal Beach and then him and OneBadNA1NSX (Eric) went haywire with all them mods. I wouldn't mind seeing ALL the progress Aaron did over the years
