Any western Canada members feel like getting together this summer? I saw cars from all across the states at NALM, I'd like to see some of the more local cars too.
I've got no problem driving down to Calgary to hang out with the members there, I'd love to see some cars from SK and BC (this means you 6MT black coupe drivers, LegendCanada and Spartacus). I'm thinking sometime in mid-August would be nice.
Anyone got any thoughts on timing and location, or whether we can even get enough people out?
I would love to meet up with some other Legend owners! Mine is currently sporting some battle wounds with a parking barrier, but otherwise I would love the opportunity to meet up with you guys. I could even arrange a trip up to Edmonton.
Weekend would be best of course. I know CrazyX88, and two other legend owners in Calgary (both Black), and the owner of a nice Champagne 6-speed (Mckenzies' old one), and a kid who bought Spartacus' old 6-speed Milano (I don't know him, but I am sure I could stalk him out, I see him in the northwest allot)
Only problem, I am not to sure if I will have my Legend for much longer. I have bought an SC400 and think I will be moving on (temporarily, I can see another 6-speed in my garage in a few years - these cars are too good).
SAP did you drive your Legend down to NALM from Edmonton, impressive no doubt!!

You've got a lot more Legend owners in Calgary that might be interested in a meet (I'm the only Edmonton member who seems to be even marginally active). Calgary is also within cruising distance to the rockies if we decided to do something like that . I agree that weekends work best.
... and yeah, I made the long drive to NALM . Round trip came out to be just shy of 6000 kms. I think wanting to do a local meet is part of my NALM withdrawal .
I'm just going to pretend I didn't hear anything about an SC400
I could do something...lmk. I'm busy straight through the week but I have weekends off
Sweet.
Anyone got ideas of what weekend we should aim for? I was thinking end of June/beginning of July when I posted up, but pretty much anytime works for me.

Lol, sounds good! Let me know when works best for you guys, most of my weekends are free. We could do a quick trip out to K country, or Canmore.
SAP, props for making that trip down to Nalm, great pictures of the restoration, the car looks GREAT. You would be representing the sedans out here!
PS. Spartacus, your old coupe still looks fantastic, I see it around Hawkwood in Calgary.

How does the weekend of July 18th sound for you guys? I've got a head gasket issue I'd like to take care of before we get together, and I don't want to be anywhere near Calgary during the stampede ...
Oh snap, ^^ Just saw this thread! I like the sounds of this ... should be doable. I'd like to make it out there with the bulk of the Legend owners of Western Can being in Alberta and beyond. I'll get back to yall after more info comes available.
Btw sap, grats on making it all the way to NALM that's dedication right there, you represented big time
So what sounds good to everyone here? Meet up in Calgary on July 18th, cruise out to Canmore? I'm thinking meet up mid-afternoon and dinner in Canmore, but if anyone's got different ideas I'm all ears. I'm not really the meet organizing type of person .
In my other thread (on the other forum) Propa1 suggested Peter's drive-in on 16th Ave N would be a good spot to meet up.
Any other activities you guys think would be cool? Should we try to set up a BBQ somewhere?
I figured you guys might be interested in jumping on an acurazine meet, if even a few of us show up we'd make for some pretty solid Legend representation.
