F/S: '98 RL Special Edition **Bay Area, CA
For sale is a 1998 Special Edition Acura 3.5 RL
The car currently has 141xxx miles, and runs very good. It has been maintained very well by me. Oil changed every 2500-2800 miles (just changed it 3 days ago) with Castrol GTX 5w30 oil, and OEM Acura/Honda filter (the only things I used on this car) for the past 2 years since I've owned this car. It used to be two-toned (grey on the bottom), but I had it painted to match the whole car. Gets good gas mileage for a 3.5 liter V6 - I average 22mpg with 50/50 city/highway driving. It does, however, carry a salvage title due to vandalism and theft. I replaced many things that were stolen or vandalised, that includes: Headlights, tail-lights, ignition cylnder, key, computer, rims, radio, speakers, rims, gauge cluster, and some other little items. The cluster currently reads about 69,000 miles (original cluster read 129xxx before I replaced it due to damages from theft). It came from '02 RL, and had 57xxx miles when I purchased it. Rear left window doesn't roll all the way down, probably needs a new regulator. Check engine light is on (EVAP leak, not sure where, but it does not affect drivability, and the car does pass smog once the light is reset/turned off before you take it in.) If you want, I can include all the old parts and pictures of how the car was when I purchased it. I have nothing to hide. Looking to get $4500 and nothing lower (I spent $6K+ putting this car back together). Give me a call if you're serious about buying. If I don't pick up, please leave a message and I'll get back to you as soon as possible for a meeting time and date: 510 712 3210 - MARK Here are the pictures of how it sits today. ![]() ![]() |

is it a "salvage" title or a "repaired" title, as most cars have repaired titles once fixed/restored.

I guess it's a repaired one... never even heard of that before, not sure how true that website is since it's an unofficial one.
But like I said, it's going to be either Salvage or Clean that shows on the title. I have the title on hand and it says Salvage, no where does it mention, repaired, junked, or any of that. The car is still registered, insured (full coverage by AllState), and currently still driven. |
