Why is everybody so paranoid about this guy?

I can understand the skepticism based on the absence of pics but I mean...what makes you guys think he won't come through.

I paid him in full through paypal the same day he contacted me so when I get my set, I'll post up.

yea I'm not worried...after checking his myspace, the guy is def a car lover + he's been around here for a decent bit

what I think is happening here is that he's 22 (no offense buddy!) and maybe not quite used to the standards that we try to hold our sellers to (on A-L); like lots of pics, word of mouth recommendations, prompt communication, etc...maybe he's cramming for some tests

top that with the fact that it's almost unheard of to find so many fog lights sets at once...

I think Stevieray may have been the first to pay, so hopefully his set will arrive by the end of the week. I'll def post up when I receive mine

lol, this thread could reach 10 pages before anyone gets a set!

I just got an e-mail from him saying that he had just left the Post Office after shipping to those that had already paid. This ought to be interesting.

Personally, I just think people are more cautious nowadays to anyone for that matter, especially with no reputation of selling items before or at least on the forum or ebay for that matter. The internet is easy way for people to commit fraud. Online fraud accounts for over 60 percent of fraud crimes nowadays. And is still growing.

I, myself also made payment the same day everyone else did. And will be waiting to see how this plays out. Also what we all are lacking is tracking numbers..

Agreed. I think he probably just shipped Parcel Post so there may not be any tracking numbers.

T, I would say contact him and let him know you are still interested. He apparently had 10 sets of these to sell and PM'd or email'ed people that had contacted him & I think has mailed out 5 sets to people that had paid as of yesterday. That being the case, I would say he's shipping to people that have paid.

If paying for an item that a seller has decided to sell to me and requested payment for makes me a vulture, then I guess I am. I was 5th on the dib list for a Coupe set and he apparently came up with 5 sets. If you've gotten a request to pay and are choosing to wait to pay until somebody else actually has the goods in hand, that's your choice. Just know that the seller is under no obligation to honor your wait and you may well be SOL. If that happens, take the whining elsewhere.

This particular situation is a prime example of a seller's market where cash is king.
