Car 1: '93 LS Coupe

Where can I find a rear deck spoiler for '93 LS Coupe?

I just purchased a '93 Coupe yesterday. The car is Canterbury Green with the E interior....local, one-owner car with service records and 60,700 original miles. Also has the fog lamps, and is in showroom condition...I really lucked out this time.

Anyway, I called the dealer today, trying to find a couple things, and he said that the rear spoiler has been discontinued. I was able to score a set of brand new floor mats though. They've also been discontinued, but he happened to have one set left, so I went over and picked them up. Really finishes off the interior.

So.....does anyone know where I can find a rear spoiler for this car? Thanks in advance.

ebay, or www.car-parts.com might have something. if you try the search button at the top, and search for it in the for sale section, chances are you will find someone that is selling one.

Thanks for the tip. I found one (2 actually) through the link that you provided. The one I'm getting is from Atlas Foreign Used Auto Parts in Texas. It's even in the right color, so I won't need to re-paint. What luck! They're shipping it on Monday...I should have it on the car by next weekend.

Thanks again man!

Call them back and ask to buy both the torsion springs and I believe the OEM spoiler has a relay and harness which you shall need. Otherwise, the trunk will not stay up and your Driver's Info Center will in error indicate that you have a high-mount taillamp defective.

Will do. He did say that he'd ship the wiring harness for me, but I'll call them for the relay.

They aren't shipping it until tomorrow, so I'll call them first thing in the morning. Thanks again.

The coupe spoiler kit does not contain a relay, the relay is only for the sedan kit to lower the antenna when opening the trunk because the spoiler will hit it.

The upgraded torsion bars are very important, without them the trunk is too heavy with the spoiler and will drop on your head unsuspectingly.

btw: if you are unable to find a set of coupe torsion bars, I have a set for sale. $50 + shipping. Let me know. thanks

The spoiler didn't work. It was too wide for the trunk, and wouldn't mount. So I sent it back.

The guy swore that it was for a '93 Legend Coupe. And it was even the same color as the car. Strange....

Saint, look on e-Bay. There used to be a guy called moose68163 who sold Legend spoilers---I bought one for $150, relays, springs and all. You might want to e-mail him and see if he can get you one. Later---

In the short time that I had the spoiler before shipping it back, I set it on the car to get an idea of what it would look like, and to be honest, I wasn't sure which look I preferred. I'm still debating.

For now, I'm going to add a Remus muffler w/square tips, and some 18" RH Evolution C5s mounted on 225 series Yokohama AVS ES-100 tires.

If I'm not satisfied at that point, then I'll decide on a rear spoiler. I'll keep you guys in mind. Thanks again for the replies.
