DFW Area Caravan Info for NALM 2008 Chattanooga, TN
This is the thread for organizing the DFW area caravan to NALM in Chattanooga, TN over Independence Day weekend 2008.
Here's the route I was planning on taking: ![]() Should be about 810 miles from Bedford (site of the 1st track event for NALM 2005) to Chattanooga, and depending on how many in the caravan, we should be able to make it in one 12-hour stretch of driving. I'll more than likely be towing the Legend behind a still-unpurchased-as-of-yet vehicle, which will keep us below the century mark in speed, but we still should be able to push through in one day of driving if we leave early enough. I'm planning on leaving Wednesday evening 7/2 or early Thursday 7/3 morning in order to arrive in plenty of time for the Thursday night activities. That time and date will flex I'm sure with the other caravans (*ahem* Tyson) that may be coming through this area and hooking up with us. So who's with me? ![]() |

Or we could head out 30 and hook up with the Arizona boys in Little Rock, then all meet up with the Midwest group in Nashville and roll down to Chattanooga with a BUNCH of Legends...

We really need to appoint a new Dallas Rep. Your annual review is going to suck. I would have expected more from a NAZI. You know, campaigning, flyers, boxcars...

Considering this road trip. I hate long drives but........... all depends on the cash flow. You will be the first to know brian.

Jeff - you and the wife should tag along with us. We're gonna be towing the Legend, and will probably have to make a bunch of stops with the kiddos, but it should be fun. We try to stop at all the interesting places on a road trip and not just the run-of-the-mill gas stations.

Alright Texas folks (or guy
), you have a deadline. The entire Midwest caravan will be converging in Nashville at 1 PM EST (12 PM CST). We'll roll out shortly thereafter and expect to hit Chattanooga in under 3 hours.I've posted up in the Arizona thread as well. Exact location TBD.

Brian, if you are planning on passing through Nashville, here's our timing and location. It will be my group plus the Chigago guys:
Nashville Area Meeting location, be gassed and fed by 12:30 CST: Accurate Cars 111 Enterprise Blvd La Vergne, TN 37086-3545

I'll have the wife and kiddos in tow so we'll probably just take the Southern route I posted above and try to get there as quickly as possible. I'm probably going to do most of my driving Wednesday night and then crash Thursday during the day.
