Russian, Might you have an extra seat in your car? My best friend lives in Jacksonville. Let me know so I can get her to ask for the time off. |

Meh, idk about going now.
4th of July I have some stuff going on with family and friends, another reason why the 4th of July was just plain stupid to choose. I hate how some people who were self appointed decided this was the national meet. I should make one in Brandon or Tampa and call it the National Meet. Another apprehension is the rediculous gas cost from Tampa to Tenn. that would make it too expensive of a trip. Had this been later, not on the 4th, and not chosen by the self appointed and self titled National Meet, I might be more willing. Russian, there is a Florida meet on the 28th, I should change the name to the National Legend Meet.

Im going to the national meet because 23 people already registered and some might just show up. There is also going to be drag racing and dyno, which I want to do.

We have a history? Check my age bro, only 20. Since I have tried to plan FL meets in Tampa, this upcoming one being the 3rd, the turnouts have not been that bad at all actually. One had I believe 9 cars in all, which was quite impressive in my opinion. But what makes this one the national one, and I have many others who agree the 4th of July is dumb. Why the hell would I hang out with a bunch of strangers during the holiday weekend as opposed to my friends and family? To me I see no logic in that. Quote:
You still have not explained why this meet is the national meet, and why it was chosen on such a stupid day. The Florida argument is not valid, since I have not been around long enough to be in the complaining group. I always try and plan meets and I always show up to them, I have no control what other Florida people do. But hey, if I had no friends, no family, and gas was easier to siphon, maybe I'd come. Thankfully none of that is true. To be frank, despite the cost of gas had this not been July 4th weekend I would have greatly considered it, despite not understanding who made a Tennessee meet the national one. I'd be willing and able to plan the next Legend big meet, full of everything and I'd do it well. Who can tell me it can't be called the national Legend meet? I think I will do that. Plan the National Legend Meet, for a fall national meet. Since no one owns the national name for the meet, and nowhere has it stated by anyone that it has to be just anual, I feel free to call this one the national meet. What is the difference if I call it this, and have some other members on the committee to help me. I'll even start now, for a weekend in the fall, and a huge meet in Bradenton Florida that has plenty of track and car events to accomodate, as well as a beautiful location. ![]() Good one bro. Also good one with the "5 max." I see 6 in this picture, before 2 others showed up. ![]() My math says more than 5 there. MODS, I stress the mods part. If there is a problem with this current discussion about FL meets and the national meet, let me know and please break this discussion off. I was alerted in a PM how I'm taking this off topic. So I'd prefer not to get banned again for something such as this. Thank you.

I was the first person with enough courage to pull off a NALM in 2005. After that a Committie was set up to run NALM. Every year they reach out for city nominations. The team that supports the city that wins and the main NALM team become the planning committie. You have to be selected to be NALM. I gave up my yearly fireworks competition on the lake with my family for this. Explain why legendpendence day sucks so bad to 502motorsports. It was his idea in 2001, I just carried it on and finally put it into action. Again I only stepped in because NO ONE ON THE EAST COAST could even get a location submitted to the NALM committie before the deadline. That was your chance to run a National Meet. You screwed that one up! Let me get back to my hours of work I give to NALM every week so that those who want to attend can enjoy themselfs as much as possible. I kicked you in the nuts because you are being an ass! I will kick you in the nuts as you keep being an ass. This has no determination on winner. I think the one who is actually doing something would be the winner.Last edited by sleeprlegendcp : 06-26-08 at 08:06 AM. |

^ Thanks Dave, just read your PM, but am headed out to work.
I'll get back to you when I get home. For the others, like Dave asked, PM me to continue this to prevent further thread derailing. Sorry about that Adam.

You have no idea how many people you just pissed off with your self-centered & uninformed rant. I'll leave it at that.

NALM Organizers
Please don't judge all Florida A-L forum people by the actions of one. I'm sure that many people have worked very hard to plan and co-ordinate the event.
I wish that I could go this year because I'm sure that it will be a great time. Next year, I will be there no matter where in the country it is held. ![]()
