Advice on picture hosting
Anybody here know any site or service that offers free picture/web hosting? I often want to post a picture of random Legend stuff and ever since I graduated from school, I don't have access to a web hosting server anymore.
I have a geocities account but you can't imbed the picture in a posting or direct link to that picture from a posting. If you can access it via FTP, it would be alot better. |

My pic below is at www.imagestation.com
But, they don't FTP, you have to email it to them, then move it to an album.

to post from imagestation, you have to right click and go into properties and copy the link from there.
Otherwise, you'll just get the imagestation logo.

I use imagestation as well but I upload all my images, no emailing of images is necessary. Then you can move them into an album after you create one. Otherwise your images will remain in the storage bin there.

ftp://username@domain.com....then a prompt for you password appears. or you just type: ftp://domain.com....and a prompt for username and password appears. When you guys post a picture on here, the first thing I do is right click each picture and view properties so I can get an idea of where you are hosting your pictures at. I noticed Steveman09 had some pictures hosted at some hardware site...I signed up for it, but couldn't figure out where you can upload pictures from. I'm tired of uploading a picture one by one through some stupid portal on the hosts website. Its time consuming and requires way too much work to post a single picture. So if anybody has any info on an FTP server with free picture hosting, then feel free to share the wealth At this point, I'm about to just use my own computer as a server and host my own pictures...but two things prevent me from pursuing it any further.1) I don't like leaving computer on all the time (wastes electricity) 2) I don't have a static IP (stupid sbc dsl) |

I found one I really like!!!!
Woohoo!!! An older member of the forum pointed this one out to me...and the best part, I was already a member :-) If you have AOL AIM, you can use http://mywebpage.netscape.com and log in with your ScreenName/PassWord. I did try out you guy's other opinion on www.imagestation.com. You can also try www.50megs.com for free web hosting (no ftp access unless you pay)
Still I like the netscape one the best! |

If I have a picture that I want to show, I just put it under my cardomain account. I have had some stored there for a couple years now.
