Any late model Ford F-150 Owners?

Posting this on the off chance that some visitor or Forum member may own a late model Ford F-150 4x4.

Soon I shall be driving a 2002 F-150 4x4 (Not the FX model) with the 5.4 engine and A/T on a 1,500 mile trip and I would appreciate any comments re driveability and/or potential problems of which I should be aware. Especially would like some feedback on vehicle response when it is fully loaded. The load I am taking into Canada is around 1,000 lbs.

Alas, even with my back seat removed, the Legend Truck could not take all the material I have to transport.

I had a 2000 Expedition for a while with the 5.4L and I carried a boat to the local lakes every weekend. I never had any problem with power, or braking. I wouldn't worry about a thing. I don't like Ford's very much, but their trucks can definitely take a beating.

I have a 97 F150 now, and it's a tank.

Mike: Thanks for the info. Today I ran across a Ford forum which had a few postings relating to spark plug blow out on the earlier 5.4 engines. Just perform a general search via Google under Ford F-150 Spark Plug Blow Out.
