Buying a 95 Honda Accord wagon........

A'ight I know with the legends cooling system and such OEM is GOD. I need to do the TB and water pump on the accord, because as far as I know it's never been done, 2.2L 169,000 miles. I'd like to save a hundred or so. Is it okay to step away from OEM here?

AND, how hard is it to do, SOHC, could I do it myself?

theres actully two belts on the 2.2 liter. theres the regualar tb and then theres another smaller one on the bottom. also make sure you get ths seal retainer kit as well, it will help prevent oil from getting in there with the tb. I have never done the tb & wp myself seeing as how i live at a apt complex and they frown on the whole working on your car in the parking lot. when i had it done i used an ebay seller for the oem honda parts he sells a whole kit just search for "accord timing belt kit" and it should pop up it knocked about 100 bones off the parts. all in all it only cost me about half as much as when i had the legends tb & wp done. hopefully dave or andre will chime in on the difficulty of changing it yourself.
