Buying CRX.... need thoughts about rust, ZC swaps, DX and Si...

Well, today I looked at 3 CRX's, and tomorrow I will look at 2 more. I even got a ride in a 12.9 sec CRX...yeee hah!

I drove a 1989 CRX Si that has minor body damage, good interior and some rust around the rear wheel well. I like this car the most, it is dirt cheap, and the parts that need to be replaced I would swap out anyway...like the stock D16, headlights and hood...but I am unsure about the wheel well rust...any thoughts??

I also drove a 1989 CRX DX ZC swap...not tooo slow, but it is a DX. I don't know if I could live with a CRX that does not have a power sunroof....maybe toooo much money too...

Those are the 2 I am thinking about...tomorrow I am looking at a unmolested Si. I am a bit worried about the wheel well rust...what is the fix for that?? Is it more than $800 or so??

My boy has a crx.. If I see him tommrow to do my indash flip screen install I lask him about his crx..

thx. I found a few CRX forums...seems the CRX is easily destroyed by rust. Doesn't sound good to me.

I just want a cheap/fun car, but now I am considering other cars if this looks bad.

I passed up a good deal on a 90 coupe LS 5 speed....perfect conditon, $2700. That's alot of good car for the money, IMO. BUT, the CRX or Civic HB are the cheapest fast cars you can buy/make (in my little mind). No ABS, power steering or fancy gizmos to break...just pure as-good-as-FWD-gets kind of car.
