i see a lot of big sigs in this thread and yet the mods dont do anything about that...why have a rule if it isnt being enforced?

All of those you posted here should be aware by now if their sigs are in compliance. We are willing to give them some time to fix it themselves. We've had this rule for a while now, but we're finding some signatures that are still far too large. This thread is intended to act as a reminder of the existance of this rule; and to provide an opportunity for members of this forum to fix their signatures.

After this, signatures that are found to be too large may be removed by the moderators/administrators without warning.

To make it easy, I've taken the liberty of resizing the sigs within this thread that are too big.

If your sig is one of these, your sig is too big. Please resize your pic or use the one that is in this post.

Just a reiteration as this question has come up a few times:

The limits are 600 x 300 and 80 kb. Not an average of it, nor a two out of three choice.

The width of your signature image can be from 0 pixels up to 600 pixels wide and not 601.

The height of your signature image can reach from 0 pixels to 300 pixels and not 301.

The file size can be from 0 kb up to 80 kb, and not 81 kb.

So, an image that is 400 x 320 and 30 kb is not in compliance.

An image that is 600 x 150 and 80 kb is.

600 x 300 and 80 kb is, in my opinion, HUGE for a signature image. There should be no problems in being able to fit your signature within that space.

Please note also that this rule will be enforced, and all members, regardless of "seniority" are subject to its stipulations.

So, please check your signatures and adjust them accordingly. If at any time you find that your signature has been removed, it would have likely been done so due to non-compliance in size and/or content.

Use something like GIMP: http://www.gimp.org/ or photoshop (if you have it). GIMP is free and is a photoshop-like app. I think there's a windows picture editor that can do it too.
