Does anyone else think we're simply....?
Just listening to the news on the Radio. Seems there is a gas station in Wisconsin, who has the lowest prices around, because he feels bad for people who have to pay these gas prices. Seems he was ordered by the government to charge AT LEAST 10% over wholesale cost, ot he was going to be sued!
WTF, is wrong with this picture? ![]()

someone needs to come up with a way to run a car off of something with no modification. High Gas Prices FTMFL |

^biodiesiel.
you just have to take the glycerine out of the oil. but after chemicals to make it fun well, it costs about 55 cents a gallon. but other than that, everything else would cost more. because gasoline would be used somehow to make the product. |

There is absolutely no incentive to really come up with an alternative. Everyone is in everyone elses pockets.
These flexfuel, hybrid cars were developed to keep the sheep (us) quiet. Next to food and water, gas is a necessity of life. Sad but true. |

they're only researching high gas prices to keep the general citizen quiet. my boy on CNN, Lou Dobbs, was saying that a lot of refineries are going off line for stupid ass reasons to keep the prices high. the oil companies are getting rich as hell right about now, and it's almost like the oil companies are saying well why would i want to build a new refinery or upgrade/fix an exisiting one when i'm making all this cash?

you dont need alternatives. you need something new...think outside the box!
diesel is the same price as gas...but diesel takes less refining...5yrs ago it was way cheaper. now though you have the jeep liberty diesel and more VW diesels...so guess what..prices went up! people cant get 40mpg and yet be saving at the pump per gallon too!! no way! damn govnt |

That's happened in NYC before.
This guy in Queens who ran a Citgo gas station used to charge REALLY low prices, just becuase he didnt like gauging people, and the Citgo management shut him down because he refused to raise his prices. http://www.queenstribune.com/feature...RealPrice.html

I recently saw a pimp my ride where they took like a 68 Impalla and dropped a twin turbo bio diesel engine that pumped out 800 ponies, 0-60 in 3.5, beat a lambo in a drag, and got 25 mpg! WTF! I want that!

Ethanol is worthless too! From what I have read, 70 percent more energy is required to produce ethanol than the energy that actually is in it. Every time you make one gallon of ethanol, there is a net energy loss of 54,000 BTUs. For this reason alone, an all out effort to become more dependant on Ethanol would be a no win situation--period! Yet there's this big rush to move toward ethanol!--Why??
At the same time the water consumption needed during the production of ethanol is completely outrageous. Roughly 3 gallons of water is used for every gallon of ethanol produced. Yet, with all these in-your-face facts, our stupid-ass congress decided to take our tax money and use it to subsidize the production of ethanol. WTF? By the way, who do you think is heavily invested in the production of ethanol. You guessed it--big oil companies. |

^average price of gas in early 70's 22 cents.
my grandpa owned a station back in te day, they had to modify the machines to acquire more than a dollar a gallon. and people were upset that it took more than 10 dollars to fill their cadaliac cars. this is normal, deal with it. in europe, they are paying near 5 bucks a gallon. |
