Engine oil made from cow fat? sounds like a way to stop our middle east oil problem!

Quote:
Green Earth Technologies, creator of organic engine products, has released their new automotive lubricant to its G-Oil line, a 10W-30 that has set a new biodegradability standard. The oil, like the others in the line, is made from saturated fat from cows, which works great for high performance in engines. This new oil is for 4-cycle off-road and recreational vehicle engines.and so helps out an eensy bit with the impact vehicles have when operated, though it’s not like these types of vehicles tend to be ultra green in the first place. The new oil will be available nationwide in the fall of this year. And you don’t have to just be content with the oil, since they have quite a product listing of items based on animal fat.

G-OIL™ Green Motor Oil is a patent pending superior performance motor oil. G-OIL™ is made from American grown base oils that now puts the power of nanotechnology into the hands of the consumer. This provides the ultimate protection for automotive engines under the toughest driving conditions.
Ultimate Biodegradable* and environmentally safe

G-OIL is the “GREEN ALTERNATIVE” for ordinary engines as well as high performing heavy duty turbocharged and super charged diesel and gasoline engines that require API Service SJ, SL, SM/CD, CDI, CE, CF, CF-2, CF-4, CG-4, CH-4, CI-4, CL-4 Plus and ACEA E2-96, E5-02 Issue2/B3-98/A3-98… satisfaction guaranteed!
Renewable Resources

Used G-OIL™ can be easily disposed of with G-DISPOSOIL™, that converts oil into soil. No more trips to the containment center. G-OIL™ bottles are 100% recyclable and made from recycled plastics ranging from 25% to 100% post consumer content. The labels are printed using water based inks on recycled paper.
Available Weights:

* 5W-20
* 5W-30
* 10W-30
* 10W-40

* 15W-40
* 20W-50
* SAE-30

Exceeds requirements of API SM, CI4 and previous API gasoline & diesel engine standards.

* Ultimate Biodegradable is the highest biodegradability ranking determined by ASTM Standards (2.1 ASTM D-5864)
I love it, after you do an oil change, bring the oil to your wife's garden and dump it!

only problem I see (aside from your car smelling like a burning steak, maybe?) is the cost is about 2x synthetic at Amazon (this is for the lawnmower oil, the engine oil isn't listed yet). Owch!

wait, if we can make engine oil out of this stuff, cant we make gasoline out of it too? I can see it now,"damn alot of people are cooking steak arent they?" Whats awesome about this stuff too is that its made from a renewable resource, and not only that it is also the stuff we dont normally eat off the cow.

ALl i can say is at least someone is thinking.

so, will human fat work? free liposuction for all!!

god knows america has its fair share of fatties. Id like to go pick up a fat girl, and take her to the plant that makes the oil

"Hi, i have a cow i need the fat sucked out of for some oil for my car"

"sure, wheres your cow? did you bring it by trailer?"

"Nah, shes sitting in the front seat"

Cool! To bad about the price though. It would be nice to see more test comparisons than I saw on their site. I wonder how much unused cow fat there is or isn't, I still want lard in my mexican food.

just because it can lubricate doesn't mean it can ignite, or run "efficiently".

Yes. You can make Biodiesel out of it. Rather than pay to have our grease traps suctioned at my restaurant, we have a guy who does it for free and converts it to biodiesel.

LOL anyone remember in Fight Club when they put up that billboard that said:

"DID YOU KNOW: You can use old motor oil to fertilize your lawn?" This message brought to you by the Environmental Protection Agency
