FINALLY !!!! Some progress on my IS

Still a lot of work to go, but at least it's back in one piece. The car is VERY radical, but it will be different, that's for sure. Another 3 weeks and it should be done because this is just the mock up for the fiberglass....

Mark....

Oh MY goodness!

That is off the chain! What makes it special is that is a one-off. Definitely going to win some trophies (again).

Mark, are you going to FI that Legend?

More magazine coverage coming for sure.

What size front/rear are we going with?
19 x 10 (f) 19 x 12 (r) ?
What kind of power are you putting down now?

Resale???? You're kidding, right? You don't put a car like this together with resale in mind. This is a SEMA vehicle with a lot of corporate sponsors behind it.

The wheels are iForged Aero in 19x10 all the way around. The fronts are negative .25 offset with a 4" lip and the rear are negative .35 offset with a 6" lip.....yeah, that's right...Negative offset front and rear... Tires are 255-35-19 and 265-30-19.

Retail money that's in the car is around $75k plus the car. It's pushing 321 to the rear wheels, but we'll tune it and squeeze 400 by the end of the summer. Actually, I'm shooting for 3 magazine articles this fall. One with my Legend and TJ's, one with the IS, and one with my Junction Produce Infiniti M45. Funny thing is the M45 will be done before the IS...and I still have yet to buy the Infiniti....

i have so much respect for you, but i'm gonna have to agree with leolegendatl. i hope it looks a lot better in the end. i like where you're going with the coupe concept, but the design of the kit looks strange on the IS. i'll just have to wait and see, because i know it's probably gonna look hot when finished.

i think a hood like mike diaz's would look hot with that concept

Is that IS photoshopped? I know you have the funds to do that build up, but that picture looks like it was photoshopped? the front door looks like it was fused together and same with the passanger side of the front hood. The intercooler looks off a bit.

If its not a photoshop, how did you mount your intercooler for the IS??
We just finished installing a turbo for my friend's '02 IS. We had to cut an inch from the bottom of the front bumper support beam. And the intercooler still sits about 1/2 to 1 inch out under the front bumper. We'll be getting a front lip for that problem, but it seems most IS that are turboed has the same problem. Your's on the other hand sits where the beam should be at. MY buddy's IS will be putting out 315 to the rear wheel. Man I love this car. Can't wait to see your IS finished.

BTW. people have different taste. I for one could care less how the looks of the IS comes out. The main beauty of that beast is the front mount intercooler.
