The Future of YOUR Legend

WHEN the day comes that our ancient internal combustion engines become 100% obsolete and well, fossil fuels will either cost WAY too much to use normally or there will be none.

First give me your thoughts on being able to turn an older car into an alternative energy car, do you think it would be possible?

and then, would you do it to any of your cars? specifically your legend.

i WOULD do it to my legend

what about you guys?

Problem with the Legend, It's design is from the Fossil era. It is too long, too wide, too heavy and not aerodynamic enough to be converted to anything we have today and run efficient. It is the epitome of power consumption.

The catch 22 is, by the time we have a fuel source or power train that makes the Internal Combu Engin obsolete, they probably will outlaw cars like ours, except for classic car/relic restorers. See anybody driving Model T's or 1934 Ford's around lately?

but they have versions of the 7 series running off of hydro/electric engines, the reason this whole idea was sparked i just finished watch a whole thing on the history channel and then what about big trucks and SUVs; example: there are dodge rams harnessing this technology as well, they need to power bigger vehicles anyway. i think it would work, probably wouldnt be cheap but it would be cool, hydro electric legend

I personnaly think that fossil fuels will always be available during my lifetime, therefore i checked as such. IF I'm wrong, I guess I'd just sell it unless something satisfactory for conversion is available. I LOVE my Legend, but my pocketbook my not agree if/when the time comes.

Well i would put collector plates on her if i had too..

But just take the design off the flywheel used in the insight and some stuff and you may have luck..

but i wouldnt count on it.
