I dont get it, the dollar becomes a penny weaker versus the Euro, A FUCKING Penny, and oil rallies to $128 barrels, up over $5 in one day. I say "FUCK YOU" to those who dont believe market speculators are driving up the price of oil.

Its sickening how just one minor thing causes it to jump nearly $13 in 2 days time. someone is trying to get rich on it. Im intrigued watching it on CNBC (they have a small ticker in the corner for just crude oil, and right now it was at $133.18.) It doesnt help that war may break out with Iran and Israel after the remark from one of their cheifs saying they will attack irans nuclear energy sites. God help us.

Joey, I posted this in another thread, but in case you didn't see it.

ICE, ICE, Baby, conclusion | Ed Wallace | Star-Telegram.com

My favorite statement in the article:
"We started as a society that worships hard labor and the basic business ethic of building value into the goods you create. How’d we get from there to worshiping Wall Street’s billion-dollar boys — who create nothing, build nothing, own nothing and deliver no goods, and yet can throw so much money into products made by others that they determine what we consumers will pay for those goods? "

Why do they even compare our dollar to the euro, when you don't know if the dollar really went down, or the euro really went up? They can't use that in calculating the true value of a dollar! More like, what did a can of coke cost a retailer 5 or 10 years ago compared to now? Their methods don't make sense to me, but what the hell do I know about economics.

But yeah, I agree completely.

whats fucked up is the insane oil prices are jacking up the cost of economy cars and hybrids...

Less than 6 months ago I priced a fully loaded Prius and it came to like $25k with leather, HIDs, nav and heated seats. Now the damn car is $28k TO START, if you could even find one...

fuck, online people are charging $31k for USED 07's.....

FUCKING BULLSHIT!!!!

Figuring the average Legend gets about 20MPG average at a gas price of $4.20 = $.21 a mile. At an average of 12,000 miles a year equals an annual cost of $2520 in fuel. With that same calculation applied to a 30MPG car you get an $1680 annnual fuel cost, for a difference of $840 a year.... 840/12= $70. So, we're paying a total of $70 a month more than the guy driving the little Corolla or Civic. To me, that $70 a month is worth not getting crushed in some pathetic sardine can by a socker mom in her 10MPG suv... let alone the stigma of driving an econobox. Now figure that $840/year you saved on gas and see how many years it takes you to recover the premium you paid for that ugly duckling prius.

Here we are paying 1.6 euros (2.5 USD) for a one litre!!!
And its going up all the time. Some estimate is that it will cost 2 euros at the end of the year

I dont remember the exact numbers, but I feel we should allow oil to be traded in euros because oil only rose 150% or so in euros while in US dollars it rose over 300%.

Exactly. I hear these stories on the news about people choosing between gas and food. Wtf, how are people so poor? $2500 for an entire year of gas is still nothing. I spend 10K easy on food alone.

You all have nothing to complain about until you drive a 1995 Ford F150 as a daily driver. Considering I live on a mountian, it cost me at least $7 to make a round trip to even the closest of locations. I walk all I can.
